Re: DHCP pool problem

is it possible to have them take the lowest possible IP? No. ROS assigns IP addresses from the top of the pool. You have no control of that. My recommendation is that if you have devices that you want to have a specific address, let them connect (so they show up in the DHCP Leases list), and then c...

Re: DHCP pool problem

Wiki manual about DHCP server is not entirely consistent. Slightly before text, quoted by @k6ccc, it is also written: A client may free the leased address. The dynamic lease is removed, and the allocated address is returned to the address pool. But the static lease becomes busy until the client rea...

Re: DHCP pool problem

DHCP server better observe it's own lease time. If you expect many devices to have short lived presence on your LAN, then you can adjust lease time to lower value, e.g. 60 minutes. You can change this value and it will be observed with new leases (and renewals). i set the lease time to 60 minutes a...

Re: DHCP pool problem

From the Wiki: Lease status: waiting - un-used static lease testing - testing whether this address is used or not (only for dynamic leases) by pinging it with timeout of 0.5s authorizing - waiting for response from radius server busy - this address is assigned statically to a client or already exis...

Re: DHCP pool problem

Thanks for the explanation. The problem now is that i have configured the lease time to 4 hours. Some of the IP addresses are already in the busy state, i'm figuring that these addresses are already not used then. I have new devices that haven't connected in this router before and it's giving them n...

DHCP pool problem

Hi everyone, I have a DHCP server configured in my mikrotik router. I have configured the DHCP server to have an IP pool range of 192.168.0.150-192.168.0.180. There was a point that this pool was given out to to 30 clients. I decided to extend this pool to 192.168.0.190 to accommodate more clients. ...

Re: No Internet Connection on my new setup

Q:How do i set an static IP on the WAN/ether1 interface of the mikrotik router? Re: No Internet Connection on my new setup

Thanks for the picture. So, now it is clear that you want to use your Mikrotik as a router. Could you please add intended IP addresses to your picture (to all interfaces) ? It would be very helpful for further configuration. Here https://ibb.co/fyyAWU is my suggestion, you should choose another, bu...

Re: No Internet Connection on my new setup

Thanks for the configuration. What about the 192.168.0.0/24 on both brigde1 and WAN interfaces ? Each interface should be on different subnet. You configuration is strange mix of AP only and AP+router configuration. First of all, do you want your Mikrotik to act as AP only, or as AP+router ? What's...

Re: No Internet Connection on my new setup

Could you please export and post here the whole configuration ? (by "/export hide-sensitive file=config" command) ? Generally, bridge/PPPoE interface is a virtual interface upon physical ether1 port of your Mikrotik. When change to fiber modem, you should set correct addresses (or DHCP clients (by ...

No Internet Connection on my new setup

I just want to ask if i'm missing something with my setup. Current setup: I have a DSL modem setup in bridge mode and connected to the Internet/WAN port of my Mikrotik hEX RB750Gr3. LAN ports are connected to multiple wireless routers. New setup: I upgraded to a fiber line and the ISP provided me wi...

Accidentally disabled Interface via Webfig

Hi everyone, I recently bought a Hex3 and successfully reconfigured it. But i was navigating the Webfig interface and tried some things. I click the disabled button under the interfaces thinking it would only disable that certain interface but somehow something went wrong and i cannot access the rou...
