Re: Strange CPU load

You did not make it clear, but are you using ROS in a virtual guest OS install within some other virtualisation OS? If so, please give more detailed info on the host OS.
No, MK is the main OS and 2x CentOS is virtualized via KVM in MK.

Strange CPU load

Hello, I need high performance router, so I built up x86 machine based on Supermicro X8DTL-iF i5500,2xCPU Intel Xeon E5520 - Nehalem 2,26GHz and INTEL PRO/1000 PT Dual Port Server Adapter,PCI-E. Because of support 2x integrated LAN adapters I must use MK v.5. There will be about 500Mbps traffic, QoS...

Re: Multicore support i ROS v3

You have right. I was checked the version on router and it was 3.19. I upgraded on 3.20 and I have almost 2days uptime without any problem. With older versions there was uptime max 8 hours and then the system crashed.

Multicore support i ROS v3

Hello,we are using ROS v3.20 on our main GW, where are applicated NAT and QoS. There are thousands of mangle rules and cca 800-900 queues. With option multi-cpu=no, we have 90-1000% of CPU load. Traffic about 80Mbit. When I set multi-cpu=yes, CPU load is about 20-28% with same traffic. BUT, router s...

Re: Traffic mangle in JUMP chain

Yes, you are right. It was my mistake in write. Sure it have to be src-addres=x.x.x.x/x or src-address-list=test.list
Counters are increasing, but traffic is not limited in down direction. If you have MK box, you can try it yourself.

Traffic mangle in JUMP chain

Hello, I have a problem with traffic mangle when I use JUMP for splitting rules for subnets. Rules: chain= prerouting action=jump jump-target=test src-address-list=x.x.x.x/24 chain=test action=mark-connection new-connection-mark=user-con passthrough=yes src-address=x.x.x.x chain=test action=mark-pac...

Yes, I agree.. In old versions ( to 2.9.11-12 I think), it was OK. But with newer versions is tx-power regulation bad and links dont work. Now we dont know, which power is going from card, because regulation is bad.

Yes I know how to set all, but if I use 24dBi dish, I have to regulate output power to 27dBi. this means, to set output power to 2-4dbi (cable loss etc.) and it means I have to set antenna gain to 22-24dBi. But, when i set higher number than 17dBi, link will loss. But with 17dBi set, there is very g...

CM10 - TXpower via antenna gain

Hi, I have a problem with CM10.I use 24dBi dishes for backbone links. So I have to set cca 22dBi to antenna gain (calculate with some attenuation on cables and connectors). But there is no link. Link distance is about 1km. When I set antena gain to 16dBi, link is OK, signal strength about +-73. But ...

DHCP configuration - disappear after cold reboot

When I off the power, DHCP leases configuration disappear (not after reboot, only when is router unplugged from power). There is no settings on leases, everything must be done again. I see this failure on all version of MK 2.9.x. Have anybody this experience?

Problems with D-Link DFE-580TX 4x Ethernet 10/100

Hi, I have problems with this card. When I start router, everything works. After cca 1 hour one of the ethernet port (random) stops communicating. The solution is disabling and enabling ethernet port. After this all working fine to the next reboot. Did anybody had this problem?

O.K., now it´s works, there was an error in perl. But now I have another problem. When I run this script on console, it´s OK. But when I want to run it in CRON, the script will freeze. In cron I have "/path/ssh.cmd IP /path/cmd".

Yes, I read this topic and I also tried this script. But I use Debian and the script only log to Mikrotik, but then its will freeze. No commands are executed. All required modules are downloaded from CPAN. Did you test it on Debian or have you some advice for me?
