CRS328-24P-4S+ & Intel X520-DA2 Port Flapping

Greetings, I have a CRS328-24P-4S+ which I am using for a couple of years now; so far I've been satisfied with said device, but recently I'm facing a really annoying behavior. I've got an ESXi 6.7U3 machine with an Intel X520-DA2 card installed onto it and I'm trying to achieve 10G link(s) with my C...

Re: Why channel 50 isn't selectable in the 160Mhz band?

In RouterOS, you don't specify the channel, but rather the frequency. So for example, to get channel 36, you set Frequency 5180 (channel-width=20/40/80/160mhz-Ceeeeeee) There appears to be some confusion still. Mikrotik does not use the AC channel naming but gives you control where your 20MHz control channel is positioned. E.g.: AC 160Mhz "channel" 50 can be set on Mikrotik by specifying channel 36 and "Ceeeeeee" or channel 40 and "eCeeeeee" or ... channel 64 and "eeeeee...

Re: Why channel 50 isn't selectable in the 160Mhz band?

When you have Ceeeeeee you should not be using channel 50 but rather use channel 36. The C indicates the position of the control channel which is the lowest channel in this case, the e are the extension channels, all 7 are above the control channel in this case. There are no 7 available channels ab...

[Formal Complaint] Support is ignoring my problem for 3 weeks

Hello, Let me preface this that I have perused the instructions on the official support page and I know that responses are usually issued within 3 business days. I have 2x RB4011iGS5HacQ2HnD-IN units. First one is working fine, second is having an annoying issue. The issue at hand: Usually one or tw...

Re: Suggestions for getting WAN IP from interface with multiple IPs

When you resolve myip.opendns.com you also need to supply server=resolver1.opendns.com to the command. sebastia is correct that this is a special feature which replies back to you, with your WAN IP address. This feature can be used regardless of which Dynamic DNS service you're using. We assume that...

Re: Suggestions for getting WAN IP from interface with multiple IPs

Assuming you have configured at least one DNS server on your RouterBOARD, you may use this: local currWANAddress [toip [resolve myip.opendns.com server=resolver1.opendns.com]] It will give you the WAN address of your current default gateway (least distance 0.0.0.0/0 route). The color values that I've already posted here, are the terminal ones (as MT support said). I did some color picker shenanigans and found the best possible match. Hello, You have posted this in the wrong section. You're asking for assistance with your configuration, not scripting or code. Regardless, let's start with a few observations: The ip pool named "pooll" doesn't appear to be used anywhere, so you may want to remove it. The network "192....

113MB/s equates to approx 1Gb/s, and that is the interface limit Okay, that's a relief - at least in terms of what I want to do. One last question and I'll stop derailing this topic: Do different switch chips (i.e. RTL8367 vs QCA8337) offer different interface limits? Because without "IP-Firew...

Otherwise true, I just ran a test from one switch chip to the other and the speed is 113MB/s at best, so definitely not wire-speed. And now that I think of this, another question comes to mind.. According to the hardware diagrams here and here , there's supposed to be a 2.5Gb/s interconnect from th...

The sad thing (but that's true for all but the highest-end devices) is that any advanced stuff (VLAN filtering included) is done in software and then it doesn't really matter which switch chip is used, it'll be the interconnects between switch chip and device's CPU that will become bottleneck. AFAIK, you can only do such thing with dynamic interfaces stemming from PPP profiles:

Is your case time-sensitive? If not, you could use a scheduled script (with a very small interval) that checks whether or not it's active.
