Yeah, you can use the walled garden feature :-) jeje, with mikrotik there is allways more than one way to do the same thing ;-).

Yes, it all deppends on how much work load you are going to give your routerboard, if it is to much work load, then you should get a PC to do the job. Remember that it is allways better to over-kill than to under-kill... otherwise, you are going to have to spend twise the ammount of time and money ...

The basic-rate should be only 1 for 11b and 6 for 11a/g. You should change this back to default and probably reset everything to default if you have played with anything else. This was solved by:

login in the hotspot with the fedora core 6 (using the web browser of the machine witch host the radius server) and then it all works fine.

Make shure your radius servers are loged in the Mikrotik hotspot before you begin.

In order to do this you have to make the routerboard behave like a network switch the rest is intuitive.

One thing that you guys migth whant to know is that you have to log-in the hotspot before you can acces the user-manager.

Make shure you create a hotspot user with winbox so you can log in with that user and then log in the user-manager.

Yes, I totally agree, User Manager Needs expiration Date for Customers. Rigth now, the customer only gets billed by his uptime, but there is no way to bill him for lets say one month of service. Could some one hellp me configure my Mikrotik box??

Hello, I am triying to do a basic thing with the Mikrotik box: ADSL---->GATEWAY CACHE SERVER---->(SENDS DHCP 172.16.0.X)---->MIKROTIK BOX---->(SENDS DHCP)--->PC How do I configure the router to do this??
