Re: CRS354-48P-4S+2Q+ traffic problem on ports 1 to 8

Adding another datapoint... I have a CRS354-48P-4S+2Q+ that for the past few updates has blocked some ports (16 was one of them) after about 12-48 hours post-update. It is currently on 6.47.4. I update the packages and firmware at the same time and reboot twice to make sure both are updated. At Laye...

Re: v6.44.3 [stable] is released!

As mentioned in wiki the default value for it is "no". If before upgrade "forwarding-enabled=no", after upgrade it will be "forwarding-enabled=remote", if before upgrade "forwarding-enabled=yes", after upgrade it will be "forwarding-enabled=both". T...

Re: v6.44.3 [stable] is released!

I just updated some test devices to 6.44.3 from 6.44.1. SSH port forwarding was working fine before the upgrade, but did not work after. It looks like the default setting for "/ip ssh forwarding-enabled" has been changed from "both" to "remote". To fix this: /ip ssh set...

Re: v6.42.1 [current]

Perhaps You have some units with older versions, and some with newer? Here is a random sampling of a few recent updates to 6.42.1: 1. 6.41: New key generated 2. 6.42: Key not changed 3-10. 6.41: Key not changed 11-14. 6.40.4 Key not changed 15-16. 6.40.4 New key generated I suppose this might be ca...

Re: v6.42.1 [current]

A few of my devices have changed keys, many of them retained the old key. I did not find motive to rebuild key in some and not in others. As I update more devices I am seeing the same thing. Some change keys, others don't. The ones that change keys take longer to respond to SSH. I assume that is be...

Re: v6.42.1 [current]

Does 6.42.1 force SSH host key renewal on first login after the upgrade? The SSH host keys are changing on every router I upgrade and I want to rule out the unlikely MITM. It would be nice to see ***Router SSH host keys will change after upgrade*** in the change logs of the next revision if this is ...

Re: v6.42rc [release candidate] is released!

Here is the config from one controller: /caps-man access-list # Main rule to allow strong clients to have a high-speed connection add action=accept ap-tx-limit=40000000 client-tx-limit=10000000 interface=all signal-range=-80..120 # Rule to prevent clients on the fringe from using 100% of the radio b...

Re: v6.42rc [release candidate] is released!

The new "/interface wireless access-list allow-signal-out-of-range" feature in 6.41 dramatically improved roaming wireless clients' connectivity. i emailed support and they said they don't plan on adding this feature for capsman. so they find this important for wireless but not capsman. v...

Re: v6.42rc [release candidate] is released!

If my present rule allows -80..120 and rejects -120..-81 ; what are the precise rules i want for the new option? mind pasting the lines? I suppose the involved lines should go above my present rules right? I think this is what the documentation should say (just guessing for min-max time): allow-sig...

The new "/interface wireless access-list allow-signal-out-of-range" feature in 6.41 dramatically improved roaming wireless clients' connectivity. Thanks! Interesting, how does this feature work at all? Here is a lengthy discussion: https://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?t=124884 Basical...

Re: v6.42rc [release candidate] is released!

The new "/interface wireless access-list allow-signal-out-of-range" feature in 6.41 dramatically improved roaming wireless clients' connectivity. Thanks! Is it possible to add this functionality to "/caps-man access-list" as well? I am getting quite a few too-strong and too-weak ...
