Re: RouterOS v6.28 released

I not mentioned that integrated watchdog does not detects the hangs, but If it is set to ping address then it detects hang but does not reboots router.

Re: RouterOS v6.28 released

After upgrade from 6.7 to 6.28 we now get spontaneous hangs every few days on CCR1036-12G-4S.

DNS configuration via DHCPv6

Can you please add functionality that will allow to configure dns settings on client computers via DHCPv6? Windows does supports dns configuration via DHCPv6 and does not supports via ND.

Thanks.

RB2011 license recovery

Hello.

I accidentally installed Level 1 (Demo) license to my RB2011.
Is there any way to recover existing L5 license?
I wrote to support[at]mikrotik.com, but unfortunately still got no reply (ticket 2013061066000261).

Re: How auteticate wired client

My ISP uses 802.1x for [wired] client authentication, and i want to connect to ISP using mikrotik. But Mikrotik doesn't support 802.1x. So it would be nice if 802.1x support will be added. Btw, even cheap routers like tp-link and dlink have 802.1x support.

Re: feature request: connection retry interval

Re: feature request: connection retry interval

we have heavy-loaded vpn-servers (500-1000 connections to each), and many connection attempts within short period of time are considered as simultaneous connections of single user (because vpn server need 1-10 seconds to process connection request and mikrotik tries to reconnect too fast). So we wan...

Re: ROS v3 RC 1

I'm discovered the following possible bugs: 1) Each time when you enter and leave safe mode (and in any other case when you pressing ctrl+c) the string "interrupted" is printed. I'm think that it must appear only when you actually interrupt something... 2) It is not possible to use interfa...

The answer is:

if match is not inverted (connection-limit=50,32), than only packets that exceeds limit of 50 concurrent connections will match this rule.
if match IS inverted (connection-limit=!50,32), than all packets that NOT exceed limit of 50 connections will match this rule.

I'm understand, but i'm need need to know exactly in what case packet matches this rule (because i'm will not use ACCEPT or DROP action). For example, in case of limit 20 packets per second - average of 20 packets per second matches rule, and what about connection limit?

Clarification about connection-limit option match

Hi.

If we have rule with connection-limit=50,32 parameter in it, is packet matches rule if specified ip has less than 50 connections or if it has more than 50 connections or if it has exactly 50 connections?

thanks.

packet rate limit question

Hello to everybody, I'm have a question about packet rate limiting - it is possible to limit packet rate to 20 udp packets per second for specific ip, but not accept packet at this time - let is pass through other firewall filter rules - if we need limit packet rate AND after that allow/deny access ...

i'm understand, but overall results in radius and windows are differ after session ends (usually mikrotik counts less traffic than windows) and difference is growing if user transfers large amount of data through VPN.

RADIUS accounting counters are wrong?

Hi! RouterOS 2.9.40, freeradius 1.0.2 (Debian Sarge) We're using mikrotik as NAS (pptp server) and for RADIUS accounting. There are some differences within windows counters (interface status) and mikrotik radius accounting counters: for example windows shows that i'm received 11110604 bytes, but mik...
