Re: Dual polarization antennas or two antennas in one unit

Is anyone using dual polarity sectors antenna at their base station? If so, what manufacturer and model used? Yes, we are using 16dbi vert/ 16dbi horz dual pol 90 degree sectors. They seem to be performing well although I have not tested them extensively. We have many installations with 4 sectors i...

Re: ALIX.2D2 and NStreme Dual

My new test proves to be alot more promising. I have a new test setup using ARC5823P panel antennas at each end of the nstreme point. Test was done using RB433AH w/2xR5H and RB600 w/2xR52H connected to the panel antennas. I have framer policy set to none in this test, using turbo mode and frequencie...

Re: Cannot install wireless-test 3.20

Delete the file, then reupload the file.
reboot
Also, ensure you are using the right package for your board and check you log for errors.

Re: ALIX.2D2 and NStreme Dual

Just a follow up. So I did several additional testing using the ALIX.2D2 board, RB600 and RB433AH boards. I have found that the ALIX board was not the problem with the poor throughput I was getting from my tests. I tried several other setups, RB433AH w/R5Hs to RB600 w/XR5s, RB433AH to ALIX 2D2, etc....

Re: RB433AH with dual XR5's - Intermittent Shut Downs

How are the cables powering the unit? If it is at all possible, check using a multimeter to see what your voltage drop is at the radio. I had a similar problem where the board would reboot, upon further investingation found that the supplied power input was to low to power the units. Hope this helps.

ALIX.2D2 and NStreme Dual

Hi, So I have an ALIX.2D2 board with 2 R5H cards connected to a ARC dual polarity antenna configure for Nstreme Dual, the other end is a RB600 with 2 XR5 cards and same type antenna. All cards are set to their default tx power. No routing, firewall, just barebone configs. In testing from computer to...

Re: How to route public ip through a routed AP and a routed CPE.

Hey Tom, Do you currently have a block of public IP address? If, yes. Then hopefully, I can give you some insist of where you should go. Firstly, your network routing is going take some knowledge of subnetting. For instance lets say I have been given an IP block of 12.0.0.0 255.255.255.0. This block...

Re: worrying about the future of wifi

I did some investigation into WIMAX and from what I saw WIMAX still has a way to go. I have read about several WIMAX deployments of which some are successful and some aren't. Case and point http://www.infoworld.com/article/08/03/25/Airspan-blames-customer-for-poor-WiMax-performance_1.html. These suc...

RB 600 speaker whistling

Today I was doing some testing which involves a rb133c and rb600. The rb600 has 2 R52h one is connected to a a 16dbi 120 degree antenna. The rb133c has a r52 and is enclosed in a arc wireless 5 GHZ panel antenna. What I noticed is that when the rb133c is connected to the rb600 AP, there is a slight ...

Need Some insight

I would like to know if anyone currently using any script to pull information from user-manager that they can share. My thinking is, if a search can be done for all users whose uptime is greater than lets say '4w', any matching result could then be printed to a file with the users' info then email t...

Near account limit alert

Hi Guys, I love the use of User Manager to centralize clients accounting and authentication. My question to you is, if there is way to alert a PPPOE customer or redirect them to a payment site to add addtional time to their account before their time is totally expired? If so how, but if not it would...
