Re: VPNfilter official statement

This is great news, but why have I had to dig this info out from the forum? Why isn't this statement on the Mikrotik home page, somewhere in the news section?

Re: support for AR9271 in RC2

I'm thinking of having a go with a TP-Link TL-WN722N (AR9271)...
I obviously have v5.20 ROS ready with an USB port, but I need more than one confirmation about it working. Anyone? :D

Re: Winbox dead in Windows 8

Windows 8 x64 RTM - works out of the box. WinBox is not dependant on endless numbers of frameworks and it should run on any Windows box or a Linux/Mac box with Windows app emulation such as wine. Make sure you scan your winbox.exe with Windows Defender or any other antivirus, as it may be infected b...

Re: How to Access ROS from the internet without public IP?

I certainly hope your 3G network service provider is not very restrictive with it's filtering (as can be the case sometimes), because you'll most likely be better off to listen to ohara and use PPTP to connect to one main box where your mtik boxes will receive an IP address which you can access easi...

Re: 12 months +

I noticed your router's identity name has the word "Solar" in it. Are you using this RB in combination with some solar panels? If yes, which ones? :)

Those happen to be wasp nests, if I'm not mistaken... I'm assuming the only thing he could get out of them are dozens of painful stings :)

Re: can find wireless button in winbox

I'm guessing you haven't installed the wireless Mikrotik package when upgrading... Go to System > Packages and check if it's there. If it's not, download it from mikrotik.com, copy it to your file list and reboot the router to install it so you can get your card properly recognized.
