Re: Correct deployment of CHR on Hyper-V 2016

Hey :) Not sure if it would be in great help, but we have configured it the following way: We are using Hyper-v Core 2012 R2, currently there is a external virtual switch on which we have mapped the NIC and the box "Allow management operating system to share this network adapter." is checked, there ...

Re: CHR on Hyper-V - dhcp client unable to take address [SOLVED]

Funny :D - Just as I was taking the screenshots for the reply, I noticed that yeah - on the Ubuntu machine, "Enable virtual LAN identification" was checked and there was a VLAN ID configured.
I have added this to the CHR and happily it is properly working now.

10x! :)

I have connected the interface of the virtual machine to the virtual switch in the /24 local network. There is one dd-wrt in the network, which acts as a dhcp-server in the /24 network. I hav...

Re: Let's encrypt and Mikrotik

Hey guys, :) I have created a script, which automatically checks and update if necessary, the Let's encrypt Wildcard SSL certificate on Mikrotik devices. http://me.sdnix.com/mikrotik-lets-encrypt-wildcard-ssl-certificate/ In few words, it checks if there is a certificate and if the cert.pem and priv...

Master port after update to 6.41.2 (2011UiAS-2HnD)

Hey guys, :) Really weird scenario. I have Mikrotik RB2011UiAS-2HnD (Atheros8327 (ether1-ether5+sfp1); Atheros8227 (ether6-ether10)), RouterOS 6.40.8 - all of the interfaces are in one bridge, named: "bridge". I have upgraded the Mikrotik to: 6.41.2, and the master ports, were still there: ether2-ma...

Re: Neighbour discovery unexpected entry

Hey, :)

The version of both routers is: RouterOS v6.41.2
Forgot to mention that both are: CHR, so I will double check whether there is any virtual switch from the hypervisor for these ports.

If anyone has other ideas?

Neighbour discovery unexpected entry

Hey guys, :D I have faced the following issue: I have Mikrotik R1(pptp server) and Mikrotik R2(pptp client) - everything is working as expected, both of them are with public addresses, into the pptp they are using: 192.168.3.0/24. Address 3.1 for R1 and 3.2 for R2. In to the /IP Neighbours, this is ...
