Mesh networking is inferior to connecting access points to your switch with ethernet. In an office environment, you should really do that. The clients (laptops) control roaming. They can decide to connect to a stronger signal access point, or decide to stay. It is perfectly correct to put both acces...

Schedule sounds fine. Perhaps comma separated of each host, for a switch. That would show what is going to get disconnected if pulling a wire etc.

For switches downstream like other switches in an office, could we do some kind of lookup on the DHCP by MAC address remotely? Sounds complicated.

Try disabling or enabling your normal ethernet connection to the internet. I read that the updates need to be done using the LTE network. Although it never worked the 10x times I tried it.

I notice there is a UDP-Lite protocol in Mikrotik. I understand this still transmits packets without checking a checksum.

Has anyone an idea how it could be used for video that sends despite signal dropouts, and ends up with cool glitching?

Don't swear.

On a PC does it show up as a storage USB drive with software in? If it does, you need to reflash it to 'Stick' mode which I found impossible.

Re: Very bad WiFi throughput ! Slow performance and connection issues.

Besides, you can ignore the rants...MikroTik does supply rocksolid WiFi solutions. They just require proper setup . I am sorry... That's just not true. Mikrotik wireless has been behind the times for a while now. They never got MU-MIMO working. And the 2.4 radios will flat out stop accepting client...

It won't work if it's DNS based by someone simply specifying an alternative DNS, it won't work otherwise by bypassing via VPN.

Sharing bandwidth easily

If I have a basic cable modem home router setup, and two people in the home are downloading, do I need to set up a Simple Queue to share the bandwidth equally, or will TCP protocol just do this naturally for me anyway?
