Java? Crossplatform? Really? Well, goodbye good old winbox, this will be a useless piece of bloatware crap . Oh, I think we just need some tolerance...How about Electorn-based software? Also you need to integrate a lot of telemetry, shitty touchscreen icons, some pictures, a good donate games (i pre...

Well, if nothing happen - WG seems to be "out-of-box" for many Linux systems. @Normis, can it be also implemented as "yet-another-vpn" in Ros? Standart implementation, compatible with ofticial specs, as-is? Sometimes stable connection is much better that faster. hEX ann ARM model...

I'm also interesting about Wireguard impementation in Mikrotik devices. P.S. Yesterday Cloudflare release free VPN service: WARP is an ambitious project. We set out to secure Internet connections from mobile devices to the edge of Cloudflare's network. In doing so, however, we didn't want to slow de...

I think today there are no difference in everyday use between 802.11ac and ac speed, latency & radius for smartphone usage. What task do you have for your s10 for about 1Gbps?

Re: Point 2 Point -2000M Boat Races

First of all, none of MT 60Ghz will work over 2000 meters with good speed and stabilty. You may use cheap and simply sqSXT or Disk Lite series if you have small budget, or you may use lhg 5, ac or not - in 802.11 there are no difference, TDMA protocols like nstreme/nv2 not needed for Ptp And third s...

some users want a device what fit perfectly for their needs, that just dont happen every time If some user ask for the succesor of 2011/3011 - not ccr1009, 951, or other MT models, it can be right to hope that some main series features, at least, can be unchanged. Re: 100Mb LAN - what's the point?

OP has a point. New 60Ghz "Lite" model can do 60Ghz connection so up to Gbit over the air in full duplex and is specced with a 10/100 port. Mental! This is a CPE unit for connecting to an access point. If the AP has a gigabit connection and there are 8 CPEs connected, nobody can get more ...

Re: RB4011

For us, main disappointment of 4011 is USB removal. As rackmount it can be a good router - nothing superhero-powered, but relatively good for it price, like UBNT ER series. But why missed USB in desktop SoHo version? Hap ac lite have this for it's price, but the flagship missed it. Summary: as deskt...

Re: Spectral-scan for AC devices.!

You may use old 802.11a devices for spectral scan
or
buy and use device from another vendor for spectral scan.
or
wait for years when (and if) it will be implemented.

(This is reality of mikrotik at 2018).

FTGJ, MT is more about routing, not wireless.

This has already been discussed here two weeks ago. The corresponding topics have been deleted/hidden, so it's probably not meant to be public yet. Or, if we say correct - censored. I don't understand this step about 4011, since fccid made it public - many resourses already made review, publish pho...

If serious, we switch some sectors with SXTsq CPEs to 802.11 until nv2 will be ready again. But it's difficult to manage mixed network, and we have small access network for now.

That was major screwup on MikroTik's side, and blaming it on "unsecured routers" in changelog wasn't fair either, people usually don't think about fifty-characters passwords as "unsecured". But it's good there isn't another one. Nope. If you use old system and set up it to conne...

This may be RTS/CTS problem. NV2 works totally different that regular 802.11 - it uses TDMA, each client can transmin only in it's time slot, so you have a more stability in exchange of delays. 802.11 like a parlament with budget talking - orTV show, nstream like a discussion with moderator(base sta...
