Re: NetInstall Instructions

Hi, I've been working with mikrotik devices since 1998 and have done a lot of netinstalls. One thing I can say for sure and concur with the statements above, the process is a bit iff-ish. Since the last couple of months there have been a few devices I have tried to netinstall and it just won't work....

Re: Blacklist Filter (Development Topic)

Hi Dave, I agree with everyone when I say the beta should not be restricted just because one guy decided to go another route. We would be most happy to pay and I would happily be a part of your beta program and even get my clients on board just because it saves them money they would instead spend on...

Re: ❓ what's the best solution for OSPF and PPPoE service

I'm reviving this discussion to get answers to a few of my queries since I'm deploying this architecture for a client now. Is it possible to set up this network without VPLS? Is it possible to setup individual PPPoE IP pools for each site? What do we do if we need to forward ports for a client with ...

As a solution, please search PCC and use-cases/examples for the same and you'll have your answer.

Re: Mikroitk BGP Dual Loadbalancing problems

What exactly are you tryig to achieve? If you need simple load balancing, maybe you should try advertising all 4 pools to both Voda and Idea and using prepend to balance traffic. Maybe if you explained your requirement in some more details, we could help.

Re: how to access mikrotik router behind trunk port

A suggestion would be to add the vlan interface on the physical interface connected to the cisco switch so packets originating from that vlan are tagged. That would at least get the packets to your mikrotik. Further configuration for customers connected to the mikrotik is another part of the config ...

I have purchased 2 750gr3 for my clients to run dude and I'm facing the same issue with both. After a few days, the map with all the devices just vanishes and the whole thing needs to be recreated. 750Gr3 goes dead after removing packages

This has happened with two routers I have purchased this month. The router came with 6.36.1 and I upgraded it to 6.38.5 which is the current version and uploaded dude.npk for this specific version. I upgraded by uploading specific packages to the router, not the routeros file. The packages I uploade...

Re: BGP Multihoming

There seems to be a misunderstanding here.

1. Both ISP A and ISP B are connected to one router at my NOC and they are my upstream ISPs so they are different ASNs and hence are not connected to each other via iBGP.
2. The /30 ip address blocks to connect to both the ISPs are provided to me by the ISPs

If you simply connect with the windows Dude program to a RouterOS Dude installation remotely, that's fine.
