Re: [ROS7.11.2] bgp-large-communities not applied for IPv6 routes

Thanks for your feedback Dennis! It seems the performance of ROS7 with full-tables is pretty poor on Tile.. we're using CCR1072 here with multiple full tables and it's really no fun. :( I started a thread on reddit about the various problems we're experiencing with full-tables on ROS7/CCR1072 - peop...

[ROS7.11.2] bgp-large-communities not applied for IPv6 routes

On ROS7.11.2 I have a routing filter on ingress that should append bgp-communties and bgp-large-communities to all routes learned from peer. However, just bgp-community is appended - bgp-large-community does not get appended. Here's the filter chain (32bit-ASN 666666 just for demonstration): append ...

Re: Winbox 3.39, ROS7.11.2: IPv6 Route window; no BGP-Tab

You (don't) mean the /routing/bgp tab? No; I mean the window that pops up when double-clicking a single route. For IPv4 routes, this window has a tab "BGP" where I can see BGP-related details (peer, AS path etc. pp.) for a route. The window for single IPv6 routes has a RIP-, OSPF and MPLS...

Winbox 3.39, ROS7.11.2: IPv6 Route window; no BGP-Tab

Hi MikroTik, I just realised that there is no BGP-Tab in the IPv6 Route window to view BGP-route-details.

Are you planning to fix that?

Use mANT LTE 5o with LtAP? [SOLVED]

Is it possible to use mANT LTE 5o with LtAP? I can't see any SMA connectors on the LtAP (https://mikrotik.com/product/ltap#fndtn-gallery) - yet the description page of the mANT LTE 5o says "It is an excellent companion to our LTE devices, such as the wAP LTE and LtAP series." Am I overseei...

Re: Restrict SNMP to use V3 only

Hello Elans,

thanks for your feedback. I already knew that wiki article and have read it - but I don't see where it explains how to enable/ disable only certain versions of SNMP.

SNMP is either
enabled (yes | no; Default: no)
...

Am I missing something?

Restrict SNMP to use V3 only

Hello folks, i'd like to monitor a MikroTik device via SNMP over the public internet. I therefore would like to allow monitoring via SNMPv3 (with authentication and encryption) only. As soon as I enable SNMP, I can query the device using all SNMP versions. Is it possible to restrict querying to SNMP...

Re: OVPN S2S with multiple sites/ tunnel networks [SOLVED]

Normally, each user you use with various ppp interfaces is locally represented by a /ppp secret item and that item refers to a /ppp profile too, plus it also has local-address and remote-address parameter directly in itself. So the default-profile configured for the /interface ovpn-server server is...

Re: Exclude multiple destination networks from src-nat (masquerade) [SOLVED]

You can put action=accept rules with the destination subnets you don't want to masquerade before the action=masquerade rule in the srcnat chain, or you can create an /ip firewall address-list containing all the destination subnets you want to exclude from masquerade handling and refer to it in the ...

OVPN S2S with multiple sites/ tunnel networks [SOLVED]

Hello folks, I'm trying to achive the following setup with OVPN on Mikrotik RouterOS, but I don't get how to define multiple "tunnel networks" (local- and remote tunnel addresses). I have found this thread in the MikroTik forum, which suggests working with "users" and binding pro...

Exclude multiple destination networks from src-nat (masquerade) [SOLVED]

Hello folks, I have a split-tunnel setup with OpenVPN that works just fine. Everything gets routed & NATed to public internet, except for traffic with destination in 10.0.0./8 - which gets routed inside the OpenVPN tunnel and is not NATed. The rule that excludes traffic destined from 10.0.0.0/8 ...
