Re: RB3011 port flopping - bad design

Well that is something.

It has been very quiet on this for a long time, I had just wondered if the team had given up.

Amazing detective work! I hope that this gives a focus to the engineering team at MT.

Re: hAP ac^2 Problems---Extremely Poor Performance found in 2.4G and 5G WiFi

Still keeping an eye on here more out of morbid curiosity than anything else. Am using a couple of older Ruckus devices now (2 X R500 in a mesh configuration), and they just work.... Sounds like there is a fundamental problem within Router OS, which I believe is good news, so once they acknowledge a...

Re: Mikrotik AC2 poor preformance

Known issues with ARM devices. Use the latest RC software release and update firmware.

Help is coming, but this will be on the RC release channel only as I understand it.

Welcome to the club :-)

Re: CAP ac bad Antenna design?

New RC same old performance. I am getting bored of this now.... I would sell my CAP AC but I can't do it with good conscience knowing the new owner would not be happy with the purchase. I will put in a drawer and come back to it later. Have just bought a second hand Ruckus R500 to keep me going for ...

Re: hAP ac^2 Problems---Extremely Poor Performance found in 2.4G and 5G WiFi

I find it ironic that i, as a home user, was looking to get away from the flakey performance of consumer grade gear, and asked MT support what they would recommend. They suggested an RB3011 and CAP AC, which i bought. RB3011 has port flapping issues when mixing fast internet and gigabit on the same ...

CAP AC is no better for me either. I need to pick up a different access point in the short term.

Re: cAP ac - only 5GHz, 2GHz not

Got to be worth updating the firmware. My CAP AC was a bit temperamental when on the original firmware. In fact i could only update the FW when flashing it and restating it using the tik android app. I could not get the FW to stick any other way...weird

Re: CAP ac bad Antenna design?

I had a load of disconnects / reconnects from a netatmo camera. I then check ked the firmware and realised that I could not update the firmware, or when I did,, it would not stick. I eventually got it accept the latest RC firmware by using the tik app. If you are experiencing disconnects make sure y...

Re: v6.42rc [release candidate] is released!

I am having trouble with setting up a CAP AC using the 'quick setup'. Everything was fine until I rolled the last couple of RC updates. I am trying to set up as 'Home AP dual', and configure as before. However it refuses to get an IP address and then I cant access the device thought winbox as it ref...

Re: CAP ac bad Antenna design?

Oh bugger. Just ordered the CAP AC to go with a 3011....
This is to replace a very sketchy consumer grade Netgear ORBI system.
Hoping this is a quick FW fix!

Looking forward to the updates.
