Re: Feature request: Support L3HW together with MLAG

I also run in this limitation while testing two CRS326-24S+2Q+ for a small cluster. While MLAG alone works fine for storage and VM traffic, the combination of MLAG + L3HW + VRRP for the Hypervisor management would be much appreciated, since even for backup tasks the software routing capabilities of ...

Re: VRRP interface on bridge

I have the same problem on a CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+ with RouterOS v6.48.6. I found this thread while I was investigating why the throughput of a singe TCP connection is 3 times better with a regular VLAN interface on a bridge then with a VRRP interface on top of the VLAN interface. I can also confirm tha...

Re: Bridge VLAN does not work completely until re enabled [SOLVED]

Hi @fbauer, I don't think the moving MAC on MLAG Problem is fixed in Router OS 7.1.4 (2022-03-21) since MikroTik told me on the same day (2022-03-21) that they was able to reproduce the problem, and that they will fix it in an upcoming RouterOS versions. However, they can not provide a release date ...

Re: Bridge VLAN does not work completely until re enabled [SOLVED]

I have faced, probably the same problem multiple times with RouterOS 7.1 and 7.1.3. I did not test the versions in between. If a MAC address is moved from one MLAG bond to another MLAG bond without disconnecting the cables from the ports that are associated with MLAG bond where the MAC address was r...

Re: IKEv2 EAP-MSCHAPv2 authentication with User Manager

Is it possible that you did not add all certificates that are required to establish the chain from the root certificate to the certificate for your routers host name to the `/ip ipsec identity`? I did not use the lets encrypt implementation in Router OS 7, but from many web-servers, I know, that the...

Re: CRS317 l3hw + firewall question [SOLVED]

@raimondsp , thank you very much for you quick answer. That explains quite some setups that did not perform as expected. The good news is that this feature received a priority boost, and it is already in development. Thats great! This should give many inter VLAN routers a good performance boost.

Re: vrrp with mtu

I can only confirm that in Router OS 7.1.rc4, the MTU of an VRRP interface creates on top of an VLAN interface always shows an actual-MTU of 1500. In my case the MTU and actual-MTU of the VLAN interface ist 9000 and I want the actual-MTU of the VRRP to be also 9000.

The actual MTU of a vlan interface is set to 1500 after every reboot. I can reproduce this on two CRS326-24S+2Q+ running RouterOS v7.1rc4. /interface/print proplist=name,mtu,actual-mtu,l2mtu where type=vlan Flags: R - RUNNING Columns: NAME, MTU, ACTUAL-MTU, L2MTU # NAME MTU ACTUAL-MTU L2MTU 0 R br-v...

Re: CRS317 l3hw + firewall question [SOLVED]

... Currently, RouterOS cannot perform VLAN filtering on the L3 fast path. ... Does this mean that Router OS never, not at any device, performs any fasttracking, if all IPs of a device are on an `/interface/vlan` where the `interface` of the vlan is a ` /interface/bridge`? e.g.: /interface bridge a...

Re: v7.1beta6 [development] is released!

First of all, thanks to Mikrotik for bringing MLAG to the CRS3xx switches! I tried the new MLAG feature with two CRS326-24S+2Q+RM and a Server running Linux as the Bonding partner. Unfortunately the Multi-chassis link aggregation group is not reliable for me. While it works after the initial configu...

Re: [Feature Request] IPv6 Fasttrack

Are there there any comments from MikroTik about the missing fasttrack support for IPv6? Is it at least a planned feature?

Re: w60g link stability and erratic rate selections since ROS 6.47

I installed a new relative short PtP link (about 600m) with two LHG 60G. With the latest stable version (ROS v6.47.4) the Signal, RSSI, and TX Sector are permanently changing. Also the MSC and PHY Rate are changing quite often and the link was dropping multiple times a day. With the highest frequenc...

Re: Nstreme + AC = No more than 170Mb Throughput!! 6.19+6.20rc

I also want to share my experience with mikrotiks ac hardware in p2p links and maybe someone has an explanation for my strange observations. I can only reach 190Mbit/s with nstream on ac hardware. I have a PtP link with a DISC Lite5 ac (AP) and a LHG XL 5 ac (client). The link is about 600m long. Th...

Re: Experience with PtP Wireless Wire Dish link

I replaced a 5GHz ac link (2 x SXT HG ac) with two Wireless Wire Dish in last September. The link is about 650 m long. The performance of the 5GHz ac link was never satisfying. Only with mikrotiks nstream it was possible get a relative stable link with about 180MBit/s TCP thruput. NV2 was super slow...

Re: Are MikroTik 10G DAC cables "standard"? [SOLVED]

I have two Mikrotik DAC cables. One connects a CCR1009 to a D-Link switch and the other an onboard nic of a Supermicro X10SDV-4C-7TP4F Mainboard to the D-Link switch. If I remember correct I was required to set the link speed on the CCR1009 to 10G manualy. Apart from that, I have done nothing beyond...

Re: Mikrotik VDSL / DSL Modem?

@pe1chl Thank you for your response! You are right, it would be very helpful if RouterOS could read the line states from these SFP-VDSL-Modems. I'm very interested in the DSL Monitor Windows software you mentioned. Also the exact specification of the Protocol that is used by this Software could be v...

Re: Mikrotik VDSL / DSL Modem?

Hello! I´m located in Austria and I have also tested a Proscend 180-T. I have tested the SFP - VDSL - Modem in the combo port of a new CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+ and in the SFP port of an RB2011UiAS-RM. Both Routers seem to recognize the SFP Module correctly (I have configured the interfaces in Router OS man...
