mikrotik rate limit problem

Hi all! I use pppoe with radius. It's work fine, but if I example set 1024k/14000k mikrotik-rate-limit for user, then upload bandwidth is OK, download is 8-10M max. If I raise bandwidth (ex: 30M/30M), then user's download speed doesn't changed. Without mikrotik-rate-limit the user's download speed i...

Re: Atheros lan chipset support

Currently there is no such plans. Perhaps support will be added in the future.
Available the config (.config file) of the Mikrotik OS 4.16 x86 stable kernel?
I will try to recompile the kernel with atheros support.

Walk this road?

Re: Atheros lan chipset support

The latest drivers are included at v5.0rc7 version. If NIC does not work there, there is nothing we can do currently.
Thanks for fast answer.
I tryed the V5.0rc7, but that not recognized the lan chip.
Possible compile a new kernel with atheros lan support and insert to the mikrotik?

Re: RB133c and 3.10b

Hi All!

I tryout install separated package on rb 133. Routeros: 3.0beta10.
Package: system + wireless, but the rb 133 not working.
If I install the system package alone, then RB 133 works fine.

Why? Wireless package have bugs?

pppoe with firewall rules

Hi All!

I should like to setting my firewall rules on the ppp(n) interface.
Ex: I'd like limit tcp connections on the ppp1 interface.
But the ppp1 interface only will up if my user will connecting, and I not make firewall rules non-existent interface.

Is this possible under mikrotik?
