Re: Public IP on Azure CHR

I'm trying to setup a CHR router on Azure and would like for it to have a public IP address on the WAN interface instead of the private IP that Azure assigns to it. A bit of a background. We have a setup where where we have remote multiple sites using Mikrotik routers and these routers have a site-...

Ok, and how did you tackle that ?

Starting from which VM ?
B1LS or B1S VM is used for Mikrotik V7. It is very easy to install.

Has anyone ever successfully gotten a CHR instance running reliably in MS Azure?

I've got a use case where it would be helpful to have, but a quick cursory search didn't show anything helpful.

The correct serial settings: 115200bit/s, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity, flow control=none
Try to power off and on it helped me when i had similar problem.

The final solution is netinstall: https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Netinstall

Re: hap ax2 vs hap ax3 (2.4 wifi coverage) [SOLVED]

The EiRP is one thing the sensitivity is an other! When a device has an antenna with higher gain than it can receive the same client higher signal level than another device with less antenna gain. The EiRP will be the same on both devices. So the AX3 will be better than AX2.

You can use ETH2 as a WAN interface and add ETH1 and Wifi interfaces to bridge. The discovery interface can be the bridge itself.
You have to set up the Wifi interfaces to managed by capsman.

Re: Unlock Audience Frequencies - EU Version

The frequencies are loked because of the shared antennas. The two 5GHz RF output cause trouble if the emmitted power is on the same freqency at the same time.

The two 5GHz range is not overlapped so you can select the right interface for the requested frequency without any trouble or disturbancies.

Theoretically, Yes. If the wave lenght is half or double compare with the original designed wave lenght the transmitted power will be radiated with small amount of SWR. But it is a complex story!
