Re: Accedss from LAN to LAN

Arweix, you mention 2 different IP address ranges in your first post, but the config shows only one. There is something wrong or if this is the real config you should check why (do you have 2 DHCP servers on each ETH interface or bridge)? In theory you should have no issue to reach the TPLInk by usi...

Re: Newbie question about bridge mode and management of the device in that mode. [SOLVED]

Hi, If you connect to the WAP LTE directly, you should be able to reach it with Winbox, correct? (this is using MAC address). Once you put the hex router between Winbox (your computer) and the LTE-WAP, that MAC/etehrnet connection does not work (again not sure). Maybe using neighbourhood discovery p...

Re: WebFig connection lost after applying Quick Set

I believe this is linked to bridge mode. In a bridge mode the router itself has no own IP address and can not be reached via an IP address (it is a bridge). It can only be accessed via Mac address in Winbox, but not anymore via http (browser) Simplest way to change that, if you want to address the M...

Re: tool kid-control

Kid control firewall rules position is fixed now in latest routers release.
They are added in the top first position.

Note that it seems only reject rules are added. To "accept" I believe you need to do your own (which makes sense).

Re: Band Steering implementation?

For Phone and tablets 1x1 / 2x2 5Ghz coverage is only limited anyhow to very good signal strength areas (like one concrete wall and not more) Only 3x3 MacBooks or 4x4 STB can sustain far reaching 5G connections across walls etc. So my target is to get 1x1 and 2x2 clients as quick as possible to 5Ghz...

Client 2.4G and 5G passive band steering

Hi, What is your experience with passive band steering, and has anybody tried an automated approach with dynamic thershold and single band client detection (assumign you have 2.4G and 5G Wifi with same SSID)? Idea of passive band steering (roughly) is: - high AP-client distance/poor connection/low R...

Re: Tik App, MikroTik android utility ALPHA test

Hi I like the android app (on phone and tablet), specially now with the color support for queues. Possible improvements: - Would be great if you could select your own "favorites" and add to home screen from what you want to look at quickly (like "queue tree" for example). Or like sub pages from IP /...

Re: tool kid-control

Really a great idea kid control but as said earlier the rules need to be added in the beginning! At the end after a "drop all" they will not work (as it is now). Solution could be: make one chain for kid-control that user can place in the firewall rules where wanted (after drop invalid etc. and befo...
