Re: VLAN port tagging Hap AC2/Atheros-8327

Yes I assumed that is what is happening, its really frustrating because all I want to do is tag that port and leave the rest open on vlan1. I do not tag all traffic at the moment just some of the vlan's for cctv, IOT etc. It would be helpful if the manual actually had a definition of what "secu...

Re: VLAN port tagging Hap AC2/Atheros-8327

Thanks P1chl, I had the same issue with that as I did with the tutorial in the manual, once I enable secure on ether1 (uplink) I lose connection to the hap ac2.

Can't solve from my desk now will need to take a laptop to where the router is located as can't connect even with winbox/Mac address.

VLAN port tagging Hap AC2/Atheros-8327

Hoping someone can help, as this is driving me crazy now. Interesting that RoS spins the fans at 2000rpm, SwOS runs around 4500rpm until it locks up the fan controller and you get 6000rpm jet engine: F3B15E69-DD1E-4FEE-A123-3AA7EEC12818.jpeg Must change mine over, but it means reconfigure from scratch with vlans for cameras and I keep putting it off in the...

Sounds good! One more question: does this also mean that if I have only a limited POE power request (8 devices with max 7 Watt/port) then my device won't turn on the fans? How it goes in your case? I want to add a CSS326 to my CRS328, but worried about the issues you had with the trunk, CRS326 is a lot more expensive just to get ROS (and SwOS works well for a switch).

Re: Bridge setup - two subnets/interfaces/dhcp servers

Its strange right! Both subnets can access the internet, but for example a wireless client cannot send email (email server on 10.x network) or load a webpage from a pi serving on the 10.x network. I looked at interface lists last night, but there were none configured. Basic setup: - New unit - FW up...

Re: Bridge setup - two subnets/interfaces/dhcp servers

ROS is latest production, 6.41.3. I cannot access the router at the moment but I will check "interface export", that's a new command! At the moment I am running with a bridge for eth5 and DNS server and IP assigned to the bridge. I have tried it native as well on eth5 but its possible some...

Re: Bridge setup - two subnets/interfaces/dhcp servers

You will get routing between the interfaces according to the rules you make. thanks, so firewall rules? I just tried adding: ip firewall filter add chain=forward action=accept src-address-list=192.168.88.1/24 dst-address-list=10.10.1.1/24 ip firewall filter add chain=forward action=accept src-addre...

Bridge setup - two subnets/interfaces/dhcp servers

I am hoping someone can put me out of my misery as I have been going round in circles with this now since last week and I am sure I am just missing something fundamental. I have a hAP AC^2 (RBD52G-5HacD2HnD-TC), connected as follows: ether1 - PPPoE connection to DSL modem ether2, ether3 & ether4...

Re: CRS326-24G-2S+RM (CRS328-24P-4S+RM) - Routing fast enough for home vDSL requirements?

From my research the CRS112-8P-4S is not a viable router for a main connection, in my original post here I was looking to use the CRS326 as my router as well as a switch, CRS326 has a much higher performance over the CRS112 for routing. I was planning to add 112 just as a switch for the PoE alongsid...

Re: CRS326-24G-2S+RM (CRS328-24P-4S+RM) - Routing fast enough for home vDSL requirements?

Thanks for feedback, that's what I thought. I realised that the 750gr3 has better VPN support, but my VPN requirements are very limited to the odd troubleshooting connection - no big throughput requirement. Interesting comment on the 326/328 chipset though, I thought they were the same? CRS326 - 98D...

CRS326-24G-2S+RM (CRS328-24P-4S+RM) - Routing fast enough for home vDSL requirements?

Hi, new to Mikrotik, I am going to try and ask my question as clearly as possible having read the forum guidelines, lets hope I succeed :) Background This is my home setup, currently I have: BT vDSL Modem <=> Draytek Router/Wifi <=> Netgear 24 port GbE <=> 3Com 10/100 PoE switch (16w total provision...
