Roam across VLANs?

I keep this short gang. My partner and I have a small commercial wireless deployment. we are running v6.7 RouterOS as the core router. We set up several VLANs to maintain domain segmentation and whatnot. Now though there are complaints of having to log in too many times. So the question is: Once a u...

Bandwidth Charts only showing detail for last 2 hours...

I recently had to rebuild my Dude server (4Beta3) and now on my bandwidth charting I am only getting good detail on the last two hours that I look at it. anything past two hours goes to much less detail. See the attached example. Anyone know the settings to fix this? I really need as much detail as ...

Re: The Dude is NOT Dead - New Dude Version...

In my opinion, maybe it´s time to make poll and see if the Dude community would be willing to pay for better/faster dude development. Entire companys have their network plants based on Mikrotik Dude, so... Maybe it´s time for a "Dude Professional Version"

Custom Device Types not saving...

Howdy everybody, I am currently using v4.0beta3. It is fantastic and I love it. I am also successfully running it on a Win7 64 bit box with no operational issues. My problem is this. I have made a some custom devices along with images (converted to.svg to keep things kosher with the Dude) and they s...

DHCP issues...

I recently increased my DHCP pool from172.35.0.X/24 to 172.35.0.X/23. Clients that recieve a 0.X address get out to the web just fine but clients who get a 1.X address cannot. What am I missing?

Help!

Re: Time limited user setting question

Ok, that being said, is User Manager something that can be installed on the same box as the router os or does it have to be on its own box?

Time limited user setting question

I need to be able to set up a user account (hotspot user) in my mikrotik router that would, for example, let 30 simultaneous users log in under the user name and password but will only be able to access the internet for say 30 days. Once the 30 days is up, they would not be able to login as the user...

After you login to a hotspot, can the mikrotik then redirect to a specific website and then allow full web access? If yes, how can I do this?

Ok, let me see if I have this right. If I have a yahoo email account, I can use that if I know what the server address is? Would I have to use the yahoo email address to receive the notifications or could I use a different email address?

setting up email notifications?

When I go through the notification set up it is asking for a server address. Is this supposed to be the address of an email server? I tried that but I...

adding DHCP to VLANS ?

I am new to the mikrotik world but I am learning. I need to figure out how to add DHCP services to VLANs where each VLAN that comes in to my E1 interface gets their own range of IP's. The manual doesn't get into how to do this and when I try to add a DHCP server (using Winbox) to a VLAN interface, i...
