Re: Automatic Hotspot Binding

Cannot get the script to work. It does authenticate the user, however the binding doesn't get created. Log shows "bypass (10.5.50.145): logged out: host removed: administrator request"

Re: Automatic Hotspot Binding

Excuse my ignorance. I'm not a programmer. The code I listed above is part of the "on-login script". I tried the code you provided and it failed to create a binding. Can you provide the entire script needed for this? FYI, I currently have only two users configured for hotspot. One user is "hotspot" ...

Automatic Hotspot Binding

The login script below works like a champ. However, it creates a binding for every "active" user instead of the single user logging in. :foreach users in=[/ip hotspot active find] do={ :local date [ /system clock get date ]; :local ip [/ip hotspot active get $users address]; :local mac [/ip hotspot ...

Hotspot: Automatic Authorization

Would like to automatically authorize any MAC without the need for HTTP login. I don't like the user to be interrupted with having to open their browser to gain access. It's important that the host be authorized and become an active hotspot user. I'm looking at doing some advertising insertion if th...

PPP (pass-all wildcard)

I'd like to setup a PPPoE server with MT that will terminate any username and password. What is the best way about doing this? Will setting up a blank SECRET name make this work or can you add an asterisk as a wildcard?

Force VPN users through Hotspot

I have hotspot service and PPTP service running on the same router. I'd like to be able to VPN in to the box and get the hotspot splash page. This way I can edit the page and see it as if I was locally connected. Running 2.9.x

Re: HTTP proxy help

That is correct normis. I'm not interested in using the web-proxy. Simply redirect HTTP to an external proxy source.

HTTP proxy help

We recently upgraded a Mikrotik hotspot location to RouterOS 2.9 from 2.8. Our HTTP proxy to our Squid box will no longer work. Below is the code snippet before and after. 2.8 dst-address=:80 protocol=tcp action=nat to-dst-address=SQUID IP to-dst-port=3128 2.9 chain=dstnat protocol=tcp dst-port=80 a...

Traffic shaping pppoe sessions

Does mikrotik have the ability to queue or traffic shape pppoe sessions terminated from a core device (Redback) not by mikrotik? I understand that some appliances cannot decipher pppoe packets because of it's encapsulation. Can mikrotik do this? Any help is appreciated.
