Re: Dude Client connects only in 1 out of 5 tries

I experience the same. I was runnign v6.44.3 and it was working great untill I decided to upgrade to 6.45.x. And now I have the same problem. Though I am only facing this on the installation where I have around 2000 devices (mind you it is over a x86 based 16-Core server with HT and 6.44.3 was worki...

Re: Feature Request - Password Profile to Assign to Items

Hi. I think this issue could be resolve using AAA authentication with freeradius, usermanager or other. Change username/password in a server is easier than changing with scripting. This is exactly what is needed. But Dude currently don't support device login credentials via RADIUS. If it would, It'...

Re: Device login with radius credentials

So is this supported yet @Mikrotik?

I have setup a RADIUS server and I am able to login using RADIUS credentials manually. But how to replace the stored login credentials in DUDE with the RADIUS credentials?

Re: PPPoE over EOIP - better switch to VPLS?

Hi @bomber76

I also have a huge network running with PPPoE over EOIP, but it feels that my network performance is not upto the mark.
Just wondering if you did make VPLS run properly on your network and if it did enhance your network performance.

Useless Syslog messages

I was wondering what good is a syslog message saying system, info address changed by user system, info address removed by user Why can't we see what rule or address was added or removed or changed. Like, system, info address (1.1.1.1) added by user system, info address (1.1.1.1) changed (2.2.2.2) by use...

Re: Dude database probelm

Good morning all, I have recently had a problem with my dude server mounted on my CCR router. we opened one afternoon to find the dude server reset to factory. after checking the files there is a .db-wal file that looks to hold all the information form the database. Is it possible to import this in...

Re: Winbox via wine on Ubuntu 18.04

Discovering CHR via Winbox is very hit and miss. My CHR sometimes comes up if I refresh neighbours about 4 times and leave it for 5 mins. I wouldn't pin "all" of the blame on Winbox/WINE combo at this point. Showing in neighbours is not the problem, but it wont connect via IP aswell. I wo...

Re: Winbox via wine on Ubuntu 18.04

I can confirm same issue on Ubuntu 18.04 - probably a kernel change in the higher 4.15+ kernels that affect WINE APIs to the network stack (i'm currently running 4.18.5). I keep a windows VM installed with VIrtualBox as a just-in-case for situations where I absolutely need mac learning, as it can b...

Winbox via wine on Ubuntu 18.04

Hi I am running latest Winbox via Wine to access my CHR. But it neither is discovered in neighbours nor it connects via its IP. I have connected the CHR with my physical interface via a cloud. And the CHR is obtaining an IP via DHCP from my router. See attachment for all information. Please tell if ...

Any update on this? Because I still am seeing bridge as 100Mbps only. Is it bottle-necking my 1G ports?

Re: Failing CCR1072

If you aren't at 6.40.8, I'd make sure that you upgrade first. There are serious security flaws in all earlier releases. You need to be at least at 6.40.8 or 6.41.2 to fix these. No point in troubleshooting issues on older releases. /M Yes I am on 6.40.8(bugfix). And factory firmware 3.33. Sent fro...

Failing CCR1072

We have a CCR1072 running which has about 800 PPPoE servers, 800 EOIP tunnels and about 4300 ppp users connected. Out of the blue sometimes the PPPoE servers gets red and then we have to disable and restart the servers to get it working again. What could be the issue? We are running ROS 6.40. Sent f...

CCR1072 SFP Tx Fault

On my CCR1072, I am getting DFP Tx fault box checked. And I am getting it on every single one of them. What does that mean?

PS: Using SM-1310nm-10Km-10G SFP.

PPP profile script to enable multiple instances of one user only.

I need to create a PPP profile script which can allow me to enable multiple instances of just one user so that I can do 'only-one=yes' for all other users.

Disappearing Logs

Some weird thing happened. My CCR1072 had a kernel panic and got rebooted all of a sudden. The logs are gone after tye reboot. What is the best way to log a device so that the logs stay even after a reboot. Also I have another CCR1072 through which I am catering around 5000 customers. Since few days...

Re: Kick all connected users from system

Disconnecting users sounds like something that should be possible. If it's not there, it would be good feature request. The address shown is what router sees. So if it's gateway address for all connections, then check srcnat settings on gateway, because that's where the problem is. Yep, it needs to...

Kick all connected users from system

Hello I want to kick all the previously connected users from my router. How can I do that without rebooting the router? Also, the IP addresses shown for the connections are all showing my gateway instead of showing the IP of the device the router was accessed from. How can I get IPs of the users con...

To add users to multiple devices at once

Hello World! I have a network which have many nodes. each node have its own 3 more devices. Now I want to add a user with limited access to the devices configurations. But it will be very very tedious to do it one by one. Can we create a script with which we can add a certain user account with certa...
