Re: Radius Burst Limits

This is a problem Pableus is having, I resolved all the issues I was having back in Oct of last year. I'm just giving the most direct resolution based on the facts Pableus has presented. I myself use a custom made bash script that integrates with our billing. Not knowing how his GUI, daloRadius work...

Re: Radius Burst Limits

I'm not sure you're looking at the actual error. At this point it's not even in his database. SQL Syntax error means it didn't even get entered into the table and there was a problem between the GUI & SQL

Re: Radius Burst Limits

Very true, but the error he is getting is a DB/SQL error and not an actual radius error. He should be able to enter whatever attribute he wants into the database whether it be Mikrotik-Rate-Limit or I-Just-Wanted-To-Test. Now if Freeradius was giving an error about that attribute I would say it's a ...

Re: Radius Burst Limits

Open the /usr/share/freeradius/dictionary file and insure it has this line:
$INCLUDE dictionary.mikrotik

While you should check this, I'm leaning to what normis said, it appears to be a limitation within daloradius.

Radius Burst Limits

Hello, We're using Hotspots with Freeradius for authentication and have been using freeradius successfully for several years. There doesn't appear to be an updated dictionary file from what I can find anywhere. We'd like to setup our radius groups to allow customers to have a burst limit. Currently ...

Re: PPTP connection drops when user has Linksys wireless router

Wondering if anyone has resolved this as we are having the same issue. Customers connecting to a VPN get disconnected within a matter of a few minutes or less. We will be upgrading to 3.22 later this evening to see if this resolves the problem.

Re: Radius Incoming

Not sure what I did but it works now.. Here's the finished code if anyone else wants to use it.. This runs by itself but we run it from a wrapper because of the way Platypus passes information to the daemon, if anyone else wants the wrapper let me know.. This is a basic script, there's no error chec...

Re: Radius Incoming

Before the code below I am alos echoing the variables and they are all coming back correct from the database so I know ...

Re: RADIUS server is not responding - RB333 3.7

What? Why, I'm trying to access a remote FreeRadius server. I do not want authentication from the mikrotik itself. This unit replaced a Star-OS box that was working fine as well. I've changed all the users profiles as well to work with mikrotik. This is quite annoying.

RADIUS server is not responding - RB333 3.7

We just setup a new AP with radius hotspot authentication, it's setup exactly like the rest of our units that are working perfectly fine. This unit always logs RADIUS server is not responding. Below is some information.. 0 service=login, hotspot, wireless, dhcp called-id="" domain="" address=xx.xx.xx.x...

Re: hotspot woes

is your hotspot connected to the internet via a pppoe connection by chance? No, we don't use PPPOE for anything at this moment; also the webproxy-test package is installed but not enabled. I was noticing the ip address for that site listed under connections in waiting state. My browser I'm testing ...

hotspot woes

Perhaps someone can help me here. We have Hotspot sessions authenticating via FreeRadius from MAC's. They get a private IP address that is masqueraded in the firewall. Just recently we've had customers complaining that windows updates just times out and they can't get them and getting to certain web...

Re: redirection for non-paying clients

If we did this, and had their MAC disabled in radius this woulod display the Mikrotik login page. Would walled-garden sites work at this point? So if we edited all the login pages saying "Please pay your bill or try again." with a link to our payment server (wich would be in walled-garden) then ther...

redirection for non-paying clients

Alright, we are using Hotspot sessions using MAC authentication from a remote radius server. This is working fine, and we have been just adding a * in front of the MAC on the radius server to disconnect the users. We don't want to do this anymore. We want to not worry about modifying radius and just...

Anyone know if there is a way to enter a comment for hotspot hosts? Since all hosts show up as a MAC address I'd like to enter a comment as the customers name so troubleshooting a problem would be easier to identify rather then having to lookup the MAC address each time.

routes working intermittently

We've got a Cisco 7200 routing a /30 to a StarOS box, here's the general setup: Cisco -> StarOS1 -> StarOS2 -> Mikrotik -> StarOS3 routing 12.127.84.200/30 StarOS1: 12.127.84.138 StarOS2: 12.127.84.210 StarOS3: 12.127.84.218 Mikrotik: 12.127.85.114 (different class c) Routing 12.127.84.200/30 from t...
