Bonding is o.k. when you have only a small count of links at one location. If you have a high count of links you will have problems with the available spectrum ... Have you read about 802.11n? Have you tried with Athlon LE-1640?

Athlon is more efficient than Pentium 4 series and for me is the best monocore platform.

i have tested 411 too as wds bridges.At table with ROS 3.3 i`ve got stable 3 MB/s (24 mbps) with 5Ghz and around 5 Mb/s(40 bmps) one way with nstreme enabled.
Good numbers :D

But are they with TCP or UDP? Can you try with both directions?

Point to point bridge with 2 RB411

We want make a point to point wireless bridge between our NOC and a remote data center. Our needings are perfect 12 Mbps Full Duplex with NStreme activated. The new RB411 seems to be a good option, but RouterOS License is only L3. Are wireless bridges supported by L3 license? Is this a good election?

Fragmented IP Protocol problem

Third time I write about it...

I use mangle to mark packets and assign interface queues for each type of data. But Ares fragmented ip packets surpass queues and exceed the limits.

Does anybody knows a solution?

From which version you upgraded?
Are you using Nstreme?
Do you see any performance degredation on your router?
I have upgraded from 2.9.50 and I'm not using NStreme.

One WDS station interface and other AP Bridge. No traffic and 50% and higher usage.

First, you must use x86 version. Second, try with 256MB Kingston CF.

I had many problems with 512+ MB from Trascend in my WRAPs boards.

I am thinking in create a firewall rule to drop the packets that match the size of this kind of Ares packet. It has a fixed size and I haven't seen before in other software.

But I don't know if it will be the best solution...

I have the same problem, almost sure caused by Ares customers. But they aren't zero port packets. I captured some packets from one of the hosts, and I could see that there are a lot of lines with IP protocol (fragmented IP). IMO, queue counts the first UDP packet size, but not the fragments. http://...

I think that L7 in the only way.

FTP also uses random ports between 1024 and 5000, so if you want to route/mangle all FTP traffic, you need L7.

Chipset like Ralink or Realtek are the best option in noisy enviroments, always based in our test.

500 models at least, doesn't support 802.3af (no matter what MT says).

I adquired a 24 port (12 PoE ports) managed switch to power all the boards of my central backbone, but RB refuses to work with active PoE.

Which node(s) are connected to backhaul ? You still have single point of failure in a few places too.
Oh, I forgot it. The node connected to backhaul is the one between the hills.

Standard bandwidth for clients is 512/128 kbps.

I'm trying something similar. Anybody knows how to do it?

Client always obtain the bandwidth reflected in burst limit...

Max limit - 32k/256k
Burst limit - 64k/512k
Burst threshold - 32k/256k
Burst time 60s/60s

Objetive is give 64k/512k for 60 seconds and after reduce it to 32k/256k
