Firewall Priority and blocking rules

If I want to block Internet access (0.0.0.0/0) to a full /24 ip block BUT let specific IPs to get internet and to "force" someone (evil, sneak peak, naughty person) to use specific subnet to get online what's the proper way? Let's say we have 10.23.1.0/24, 10.23.50.0/24 and 10.23.40.0/24 On 10.23.40...

Can't make snmp to work over pppoe

Hello there. I've setup a few mikrotiks as routers, they are behind a vdsl router, running in PPPoE. Something like this Internet -- VDSL Router -- Mikrotik PPPoE --- LAN I've enabled with success a few ports like web and winbox over the Internet to have a look on them using the cloud hostname ***sn...

Re: Feature request - DNSCrypt support...

That's old but hey.. never give up! It should be great. Selecting already existing DNSes like cloudns or dnscrypt.eu or opendns (or adding ours) would be great too. :D spending power and $ to have always-on an old hardware server only for dns or running the dnscrypt-proxy anywhere when we got mikrot...

Re: Confused with port forwarding for web server

I am sorry I am just super stupid! I was testing inside the lan with http://WAN_IP and it didn't worked, then testing http://WAN_IP:8080 and the Mikrotik was working just fine. But from another workstation OUTSIDE the lan, I could see both :80 port and :8080. Being able to see Mikrotik...

Re: Confused with port forwarding for web server

Did you try port 80 from the internet before you tried this? Some ISPs block port 80 to non-commercial accounts. I use port 8088 instead. I leave the http server listening on port 80. /ip firewall nat add chain=dstnat action=dst-nat dst-port=8088 protocol=tcp to-addresses=10.23.21.36 to-ports=80 in...

Hello people! First of all, I got an RB751U-2Hnd so I did the first setup almost ...automagically from quick set. I don't know enough (yet)! It's something like this: Lan > Mikrotik > PPPoE bridge to ADSL Router > Internet. In LAN among others, I have a linux server. I wanted to see it from the ..ou...
