Re: Possible fix for hAP ac2 rebooting randomly

There is a recent support ticket regarding this issue from Traveller. The answer was expected: Unfortunately, there is no information about the problem in the supout file. But we have made movement on this issue: However, yesterday we released a new beta version with improvements regarding a proble...

Re: Possible fix for hAP ac2 rebooting randomly

I have 4 hap ac2 routers in service. My two: the main router and the router as an access point and two strangers. All have ipsec l2tp vpn. I communicate with them through this vpn. Three routers were rebooted with the ntp package. Any router is not rebooted without an ntp package. The access point n...

attl, DimaFIX, thedix, DenisPDA, Traveller, DimaFIX - You will not ever be able to determine the cause of the reboot in the forum. If your router is rebooting by itself, then contact support@mikrotik.com right away and provide supout file. Ok, I sent two suppout.rif files according two reboot in 5 ...

Re: v6.45.8 [long-term] is released!

I have 3 hap ac2 on 6.45.8. Don't any reboot. Who reboots - do you have an ntp package and does your ntp server work? I have rebooting from version 6.43.15 on all hap ac2. After removing this package, the reboots stopped on all hap ac2.

Re: v6.42.9 [long-term] is released!

You have to disable DDNS service on v6.43 before downgrading for it to work on older versions.
Thank you :) But i don`t disable ddns service. I must upgrading to 6.43.2, disabling ddns and downgrading to 6.42.9 again? Or is there an easier way?

Re: v6.42.9 [long-term] is released!

After downgrading from 6.43.2 to 6.42.9 mikrotik ddns don't work. On router DDNS service ip address is valid. But any device don't connect to router because ip address is old. Note from mikrotik Wiki: "Note: Since RouterOS v6.43 your device will use cloud2.mikrotik.com to communicate with the MikroT...

Choose the right settings. "System (Enhanced)" and in system->display->advanced scaling settings "Let windows try to fix apps so they're not blurry" Yes. "System (Enhanced)" is better than "System". Like shown in the examples, there is no problem with any monitor settings. If you have a problem, maybe it is caused by something else in your PC.
Like shown in the my examples, the problem exists.

Re: Winbox 3.14 released!

mrz: Windows removed display options from control panel, leaving only scaling in new settings. There are no problems with increased scaling: In the new edition of Windows 10 (1803), font scaling is made more diverse. There are three options: "application, system, extended system". Sorry, windows on...

Re: hAP ac^2 Problems---Extremely Poor Performance found in 2.4G (not yet for 2.4GHz) and 5G WiFi

If you experience different speed when changing 2.4 GHz channels from 1 to 6 or 13 is pointing to another emitter in your area. Mikrotik can try to improve transfer rates but usually in crowded scenarios, changing the channel will be the best solution afaik. This is why you get better result when y...

Re: hAP ac^2 Problems---Extremely Poor Performance found in 2.4G (not yet for 2.4GHz) and 5G WiFi

How about yours in these figures (ping time and transfer rate)? 2.4 GHz band is very dirty. I can not do a clean experiment. My hap ac^2 is receiving a signal from 46 stations near. Best results on channel 13, average 49 Mbit/sec. On channel 6 average 24 Mbit/sec and very unstable. Therefore, 40 MH...

It's for me? I tested AC 5GHz. When scanning hap ac ^ 2 did not find any transmitters 5 GHz near.

Re: hAP ac^2 Problems---Extremely Poor Performance found in 2.4G and 5G WiFi

As seen in Listing 1, the results are very satisfactory and the Retr count is 612, which may be the combination of two hAP ac^2 routers. This reading is acceptable. But I see one reduction of bandwidth in your table. It's better than it was, but worse than other WiFi devices. I received similar res...

Re: hAP ac² High temperature

The whole problem is that there are no vent holes in the black casing and there is no convection. The black case has vent holes. With this design, the router should be mounted vertically, with cables from bottom and ventilation holes from top, so that convection is better. http://i.piccy.info/i9/2c...

Re: v6.42rc [release candidate] is released!

After flashing latest 6.42RC52 Winbox not auto detect my hAP AC2.
In version 6.42rc52 on Hаp Ас^2 there are problems with Interface/interface list. Tools that use interface list do not work. Such as the MAC winbox server or parameter In. Interface list in firewall rules.
