so you mean to say, if i add the ip default route
then any external network will be able to ping that public address?

i have contact my isp, they said they only able to ping that ip from the gateway's ip address.

i will add the default route, and let you know the result.

HI, I just bought a RB450G, remove the default configuration (bridges) and put the ip public address in eth1, then connect it to a switch where my ISP radio were plugged. however, i could not ping that ip public address from any external network. i do not setup any firewall rule. I use RouterOS 4.16...

Thank you for your post, yes i am using unmanageable switch, so i want to overcome this situation.
I do not understand about your post,
If you have same situation, maybe you can post what you have accomplish.
For now, we are using EOIP.

i'm using pc as my router machine, the motherboard is ASUS P5GC-MX, the new Mikrotik 3.3 still can not detect driver for my on board ethernet LAN card.Please help...

For enterprise system, the money was not the issue,
Service Level Agreement and QoS that matters the most.
But, for small-medium company system, usually they think more about cost reduction.

Either way, it proves to us that our Mikrotik can run for every type of company.
So, why bother arguing it? :)

as i know, you can assign a specific queue for ICMP or ping packet, so it wont get stuck at the same queue.

sorry balimore,
i am not clear enough, it was station-wds mode on each client router.
the problem is, network client B and C can see each other,
they were supposed to only see their network only, not other network.

any idea? as i am still a noob on mikrotik. :(

if you bond those 2 physical interface, you will get about +40MB,
but in reality, it will drop to 50%,
try to use Nstreme2, maybe you will get better performance
