Re: EOIP tunneling and routing for Radio over IP

This is probably, most likely the answer I have been waiting for... I have been pulling my hair out for a couple weeks reading definitions of acronyms defined by acronyms. This idea makes sense to the layman... I really appreciate all the answers and will mark it solved when I can put this to the te...

Re: EOIP tunneling and routing for Radio over IP

OK.... in my current attempt, kind of frankensteined from several places. I have the EOIP tunnels set up with my ISP IP addresses, Local and remote, IPSEC is enabled and secrets match.(the tunnels come up) All tunnels are added to the bridge-to equipment to use the tunnels I have added a pair of IP ...

Re: EOIP tunneling and routing for Radio over IP

I am trying to follow the example of MPLSvpls, it appears that they are connecting the routers via Ethernet. How do I apply this method to my routers that are/will be connected via tunnels instead of an Ethernet connection? I feel like they are jumping straight into the routing and in my case I need...

Re: EOIP tunneling and routing for Radio over IP

I couldn't figure out the "issue 1" so I brought the equipment back for some homework, rebuilding completely and starting from scratch on a different HAP AC Lite still resulted in one tunnel recovering but second EOIP tunnel wouldn't recover. LOG does show the LINK staying up for a period of time be...

Re: EOIP tunneling and routing for Radio over IP

I am going to head out on the road to try rebuilding the config at "site A" to see if I can stabilize the A-C tunnel. on the routing question - Could input filtering at each site be a possible solution? If say at Site A I dropped all traffic that is addressed from WAN IP-B to WAN IP-C? Would that ef...

Re: EOIP tunneling and routing for Radio over IP

Going back through earlier emails, it looks like one of the engineers for the devices stated I would need a layer2 device, so google led me here. For Site A, Root Bridge box is unchecked, and Route Port is currently Tunnel A-C For Site B, it says that the Root Port is currently tunnel B-C Site C, Sh...

Re: EOIP tunneling and routing for Radio over IP

To be completely honest, using anything other than an EOIP tunnel hadn't crossed my mind. The manual states that the Audio device's IP and Audio Engine IP need to be in the same network, but I can't see where it specifically says that Device A and Device B need to be in the same network. We took a r...

EOIP tunneling and routing for Radio over IP

I have posted a few different problems recently and I know I am probably in over my head but I am trying to youtube/Google my way to solutions that are probably simple enough for the learned, so I would like to put out there what the purpose and limitations of the equipment I am working with so I ca...

Re: EOIP tunnels - one auto recovers, one won't

When Lose the Wan connection at site B The log shows the Wan going down and ETH1 dropping killing the Tunnels Then when modem recovers WAN connection the Tunnels both attempt to initiate new phase 1, Tunnel A-B successfully comes up and Tunnel B-C negotiation fails due to time up, and it repeats thi...

EOIP tunnels - one auto recovers, one won't

I have EOIP tunnels set up between 3 remote locations using LTE Cellular as the WAN provider. Currently we have tunnels between sites A and B and between B and C. Everything seems to run fine for a random period of time, then the Tunnels drop, like Site B loses WAN connectivity or there is a quick d...

Re: Should be a simple task of port forwarding [SOLVED]

Thank you, the Copy and paste worked on two of my HAP's the Third one I had to reset the config and start over again before the Firewall rule would work.

Should be a simple task of port forwarding [SOLVED]

I have a couple Cellular LTE modems that are set up with IP pass through. I am using the HAPaclite to basically create a LAN over a large area using EOIP tunneling. Setting up the HAP using the quick setup with IP addressing and DHCP addresses that don't overlap but are still on the same network, th...

Re: Remote sites on same Net

I can get the IPIP tunnel set up with its own net 10.0.0.1, & 2. Now how can I Bridge the Lan Ports to the IPIP tunnel? IPIP tunnel doesn't show up in the Bridge/Ports interface drop down.

When I tried setting the IPIP tunnel IP's to something within my LAN network I lost the Connection.

Re: Remote sites on same Net

Thank you for the reply. I did pick up a pair of HAP AC Lite devices. I connected the routers to the LTE modems, and they seem to be functioning properly using the default configurations. I set up the 8291 port on both and can use winBox to access both from either end so they are reachable. I change...

Remote sites on same Net

To be up front, I'm a radio guy with enough IT experience to know I shouldn't really do IT things. We recently purchased a pair of audio bridges that are meant to transport 2w audio between our offices for radio control. We were told they would work fine over simple High speed internet connections g...
