Re: Wifi Base-Station near GSM Base-Station

All are right they are different band there should be no problem but they create electromagnetic wave that can affect; I have the same problem near me at 4m is a GSM tower and it affect my throughput, but it is not significant because I have XR5, you must test and see.

you may try to use different channels one 5800 and one 5600 or something like this; between the channels U must have more that 150 Mhz difference.

I'm not interesting in udp traffic, I want more tcp traffic that is why I have asked for the signal strength because I thought that with this signal It ' will go 70 -80 Mbps because I have x86 system and I'm not hardware limited.

Re: Moving current Wireless Configuration to new Box and OS

I think in either 1 or 2 variant the interfaces will not be the same you must reconfigure the hole RouterOS; better to test install 3.22 and import you will see what is happening; But I recommend to do the configuration again you will be sure that this will work well, in less time.

I have tested and I confirm that a offset antenna 1,2m is more efficient and better performance, in compare with parabolic 1,5 for my link on 25KM. Thanks anyone for effort to respond to the topic

offset or parabolic antena

the PTP link will be for 25KM
what is the best choice for antennas; an offset antenna or a parabolic antenna ? the feeder that is used is Interline 5Ghz feeder and in one end at 4m is a GSM tower (this I think is not good)! Please help. What would be the best choice ?

on this distance I rather use 5GHZ because, mobile phones, microwave, all home wireless is at this frequency of 2,4 Ghz. At 5Ghz at my experience if you need 2mb the link will be excellent with al most 3ms ping.
