Re: LHG 60G experience

Ask Mikrotik to finally publish the LHG60g radiation pattern, then everything will be clear. The situation has been unacceptable for so long time, we have a broadcasting device and we don't know exactly where it is broadcasting.

Re: LHG 60G experience

All Mikrotik 60G hardware is so far compatible, so you can mix LHGs and WAPs as you like. But don't expect it to work with other vendors, even if it uses common 802.11ad platform. Everyone is playing on it's own playground, there is no intercompatibility due to customized protocols and different ve...

Re: LHG 60G experience

Not fixed yet in beta. Statistics work as a roulette. After turning on the device, it will test all possible TX-sector variants, TX-power, MCS, etc., and stop in one of many possible variants. Criteria not known, known only by croupier ..

Re: LHG 60G experience

So.... whats the LHG60 PTP distance record so far? I just put one in today that is 1.6 miles! I won't know until springtime how much rain will fade it. It's for a small micropop site we have that will have a 5Ghz UBNT AC fail-over. If this works, I'd like to install several WAP60G AP's to get 1Gb s...

Re: LHG 60G experience

how can fixed it frequency-list was renamed to scan-list in one of beta releases. The question is why it has been renamed and why you will not allow - instead of renaming only - experienced users to set up TX power, MCS, etc manually. You do not like experienced users ?? But that would mean somethi...

Re: LHG 60G experience

Explanation is the only one - LHG60g feed overradiates its parabolic antenna by most of frequencies. Probably the influence of the shape of the LHG60g cooler, which acts as the mouth of the waveguide - is to be modified for collar dishes. In any case, must be set to a fixed tx-sector close to the ce...

Re: LHG 60G experience

I think it's highest time for Mikrotik to properly illuminate some essential features of his 60 GHz products. To date, we do not know the LHG and WAP60g exact radiation characteristics (even in frequency dependence), which is at least unusual and suggests that radiative patterns will not be so nice,...

Re: Significant improvement for 60 GHz solutions

I have a pair of WAP-60G and have modified some reflectors to increase range up to 1-mile, is there still any distance LIMIT in the software that would prevent them from even registering if they could see each other at 1600 meters? Do I need the latest RC firmware? As said a few times in other topi...

Re: Significant improvement for 60 GHz solutions

So, tx-sector=29 means radiations angle 29 degrees, really??

Re: Significant improvement for 60 GHz solutions

For all WAP60g users please Mikrotik to explain the TX-sector numbers. For use of PtMP or colocation, it would be very useful to know the angles and directions of radiation. Please also add the option to modify the RX sector or turn off the beamforming routine. Thanks
