Re: HAP ac2 + TP Lin Deco Mesh (Guest network Isolation Help) - VLAN 591

Hiya. Actually any of the clients on the clan tagged guest WiFi still get up address and DHCP from the normal bridge, so my tags are not working on the mikrorik to separate it

Re: HAP ac2 + TP Lin Deco Mesh (Guest network Isolation Help) - VLAN 591

Bump, still stuck on this one.

Basically, I want packets with the vlan id tag of 591 to be put in a separate ip range with own dhcp and network and separate from the normal Lan.

Any ideas on how to configure this?

Re: HAP ac2 + TP Lin Deco Mesh (Guest network Isolation Help) - VLAN 591

If you read the TPLINK user guide, it is not designed to be able to read and handle VLAN tagging. Therefore its not suprizing that new clients were assigned to the same vlan. HOWEVER, what you should know and can test is that the GUEST vlan and IOT vlan on the decos are set so that: a. they cannot ...

HAP ac2 + TP Lin Deco Mesh (Guest network Isolation Help) - VLAN 591

Hi everyone, I'm working with a Hap AC2 router linked directly to my modem and have set up a bridge for ports ether2-5, which connects to devices like TP Link Deco Mesh access points, without using VLANs. I aimed to enable the Guest Network on the TP Link units to allocate a separate SSID for guests...

DHCP Server - Some Hosts do not provide hostname

(My lease time is 10 mins) as I want to be able to arp via my dhcp2dns script this is a problem. why does mikrotik sometimes get hostname and sometimes not? its really weird....

Wake On Lan (WOL) on DST-Nat (Or device offline)

Hello. I would like my router to run a script if the DST-nat destination IP is either offline. How would I determine this? Is there a way I could ping the dst-nat IP, and if failed, execute a script? What would be an example script? Ultimately i either wat to do a /tool wol MAC:ADDRESS or /system ss...

Re: Yet another DHCP to DNS script

hello, is this broken?

I receive the following error when script is run:

"empty lease address"

this seems to relate to the value of :if ( [ :len $leaseActIP ] <= 0 ) do={ :error "empty lease address" }

perhaps Mikrotik has changed/removed/renamed this variable?

Re: HAIRPIN NAT broke dst-nat from outside

1) yes wan ip resolves directly to the mikrotik via a fibre modem. Mikrotik receives ip from ISP.

2) only changes are hairpin nat enabled, and wan-IP address list to destination.

Re: HAIRPIN NAT broke dst-nat from outside

Hi, thanks for that.

I have an update script updating other dynamic dns providers like Duckdns.

I have tried using those in the WAN-IP list to no avail.

It still is not working from outside the lan :(

Local Domain resolution

Hello. I have my Mikrotik setup with dst-nat, so anyone outside my home network can access my webserver from outside the network. the mikrotik firewall forwards port 80, 53, 443 + others to my lan server ip 192.168.88.20 which works fine. However when i am at home and logged into home network, I can...

Re: Multiple web addresses Behind router.

I See,# thanks for the guidance, So basically if i understand it correctly, The Mikrotik dst-nat firewall simply forwards WAN IP:port -> a lan device : port that i set up in the firewall. SO it's down to my LAN devices (real or virtual) to route the packets internally and then back to the router to ...
