True, error message in log file was actually for a mips routeros file also in file system. Error on my part thinking was the dude file. However, the dude-6.43.2.npk file in file system remains and no dude service shows up in the package list. Is it me and Im doing something wrong or what? I thought ...

Dude server package file. Mips file mistakenly named for x86?

Upon rebooting an x86 device with the dude server file, says cannot install routeros-mipsbe-6.43.2, it is not made for i386 but for mips?


Am i missing soemthing here or did you all upload wrong files for x86 devices? I currently have zero monitoring on my network !!

In each customer's chain, allow each prefix they may advertise, and include a BGP action to set the community (more on this later).

What type of action do I set for them in the customers chain in filters?

My primary core router is transit, peer and customer facing.

hihi..

Oups forgot to mention that one yah.. I had to go into rtr3 Hotspot and add rtr4 in ipbindngs as bypassed. INitially last night that seemed to be an issue because rtr4 wasnt pinging out anywhere therefore was not authenticated with rtr3.

Well,, after some initial tests, I think its safe to say that the bandwidth between 900mhz radios and 5.8mhz radios juste doesnt compare.. Will be replacing my 900 backhauls with 5.8mhz..... correct, if I downgrade both to 2.9x problem goes away, problem is, now I have some 411`s in that cell and they only do 3.o so I loose out on some band options cause some settings are compatible with 2.9

k, again an update, the script seems to change the max target upload and download as per code, but, the breaks dont seems to be applied at all. In the queue, those that went over there limits got there max targets changed, but they still download at there normal max speeds and not the showed changed...

There are a good number of us on this forum that have been stung by Canopy 900 on our larger radius cells. I had 900 APs mounted at 240'. Now I mount at 30' and am much happier and less stressed. I like the 900 thingy cause i wish to implement urban mesh network on my off time during the winter.. The penetrating characteristics off 900 mhz means less AP's needed. I do realize that I wont be able to use 900 for the mesh backhauls as Ill run out of bandwidth fast.. Guess im just testing the 90...

not sure whats going on now, noise on absolutly ALL channels and modulation have gone way up.. I now have a pretty much useless setup... Should the ubiquiti dilters help with the XR9's???

All my outdoor enclosures have 3 drilled holes. One for cables to go thru, the other to breath and the other has small fan which is turned off in the winter. Never had any moisture issues.. Not yet anyways...lol I run P3's and P4's in them

Gotta say that G-Mode 5Mhz was WAY to unreliable for me. Had to go with B-Mode. B-Mode almost 99.99 uptime as long os there is no local interference. G-Mode almost acted like 2.4mhz.. B-Mode 5Mhz? WOW If only I could dream dreams that wild and crazy....

How are the XR9s working out for you? IN general they are fine for my situation. My clients in the region I setup are never really more then a good mile to a mile and a half from any of my AP antennas, but im in a very mountainous area, thats why I have 3 towers with 5 antennas around 3 or 4 lakes ...

Is it possible using wds to have lets say 4 or 5 rtr's but with 2 of them with an internet connection instead of just one? I know it can be setup as such, but will the routers intelligently direct clients data to the best backhaul depending on traffic etc?

If i add wlan1 to ports in bridge, i get an ip addy from the dhcp server on the laptop. I then see the url goto my hotspot dns name but then just shows blank page no login page.
