Re: Getting half of my Internet speed on Wifi

7.13beta2 lets you put wave2 drivers on all (I think) of the ARM WiFi devices. I've already converted cAP AC, Netmetal AC2, hAP AC2, Disc 5s, Audiences (that can now do station bridge). There are some tweaks that need to be made, mainly: /interface/wifiwave2/configuration> set [find] security.connec...

Re: Using WifiWave2 to bridge two Audience wirelessly, thoughts? == 4-address mode

It's live in 7.12rc2

It's in the GUI and works as expected, and I have seen not only a jump in performance, but range, while using WiFi 2 drivers.

The WiFi is also more stable at the edge of its range, unlike the old drivers.

Re: Using WifiWave2 to bridge two Audience wirelessly, thoughts? == 4-address mode

I've got it working with two Audiences in bridge mode. The command line wasn't obvious. It's interface/wifiwave2>edit wifi3 > configuration.mode and then change the text and ctrl-o to save and close. If you make changes to the wifi3 tab, it resets it to AP or Station, and you have to edit it again. ...

Re: Underwhelming speeds with ATL LTE18 kit, CA not working

Looks like mikrotik devices might be worth it at countryside, but when you're close they're just plain worse than simple smartphone. Unfortunate, as I love this brand. The Tik is 2x2 MIMO, that's going to be half as fast as the phone, all other things being equal. The phones are also usually better...

Re: Underwhelming speeds with ATL LTE18 kit, CA not working

Regarding channel interference, I can say for sure it's not a common problem but rather a non-existent problem. As for the rest, try not to overcomplicate things, especially for someone who has no experience in the field. Using a regular smartphone works perfectly fine to establish a baseline. In g...

Re: Underwhelming speeds with ATL LTE18 kit, CA not working

I'd definitely start testing using a smartphone in a number of places around the tower at different times to get a good baseline of what speed it's actually possible to achieve. Using a low dB omnidirectional 4x4 antenna isn't the best way to figure out where the signal is for a directional high ga...

In general, you always need a clear line of sight to the antenna tower to utilize the upper bands with CA. Your SINR is horrible. That close, it should be over 20dB. You have interference, so you have another tower, same band, same carrier, causing issues. Your RSRQ is -18dB...This is a horrible signal.
