Thanks but I have searched and am unable to make it work. I have tried so many configs not sure what to post. Load balancing appears to work although some hesitation as Mikrtotik decides the route. Current config is as follows. Source NAT 192.168.250.0/24 to Dynamic IP of ISP 1 (currently 64.190.x.x...

Masquerading and policy routing

Hello, I have been messing around with this for a day now some success but not exactly what I want. I have connections from 2 different isp. isp 1 serves me a dynamic IP, isp 2 gives me a /26. Isp 1 is a cable provider, lots of download (6mbit) but very little up 256-384K. Isp 2 is a t-1 provider, 1...

the default cache size 2048 in use 2048 can anyone explain why. when I look at the cache nothing is listed except the static entries I made.

thanks

Simple Queues with a script

Hello, First let me start by saying that I have no hair left since I pulled it all out trying to get this to work. That said, would someone please post an example of a script that will add multiple simple queues. I do not care what the name is. nor do I care what the badwidth/speed is I just want to...

How to exclude in house servers

Hi all, Sorry if this is redundant, but my forum searches have left me scratching my head. I have a Mikrotik in acting as a transparent shaper, that works fine. Now I am adding a dst-nat rule to redirect web traffic to the internal cache. I have several in house web servers (and a mail server with w...

bridged Mikrotik constrained by subnett boundries

Hello, I have a Mikrotik configured as a transparent bandwidth shaper. That works as expected. The issue I am having is that now I want to enable the web-cache transparently. There are several subnets on the throttled side of the Mikrotik. Only the local subnet can access the web when I enable the d...

What is the best way to backup the config in my mikrotik? I have about 200 queues and really don't want to do it again.

Traffic shaping being defeated???

I have a customer that seems to be able to defeat the bandwidth shaping. I have all P2P shaped to a total of 384000 bps and a simple queue with 384000 on the IP of the customer. However his connection is constantly running at 170kbps how can I determine what he is doing and stop him???? when I run s...

add many queues

Hi all, I need to set up about 150 simple queues for traffic shaping. Is there a better way than typing each one in by hand. I most will have the same bandwidth settings. I could edit the ones that are different. (maybe 20 or so) but how can I add about 150 queues that shape traffic to 512K up and d...

IMA support

Hi all,

I am new to the Microtik solution but old at IP and routing in general.

What I need to know is if anyone knows of a way to support IMA (inverse multiplexing over ATM) in the Microtik. I am reconfiguring my Network to be 100% ATM and need this functionality.

Thanks

Joe
