Re: Global Variable SNMP oid

This is a very useful feature for monitoring which many of us do using snmp, I personally run zabbix. I'm wondering if there is any chance that this feature is being implemented? I would currently like to query a count of addresses in a particular list, but can see future uses for passing variables ...

sharing bw with pcq substreams and queue trees

Hi, I am working on understanding queue function and implementation, and after watching http://www.tiktube.com/?video=mJeK3iHGhLKLIKImpnCsFrHvnlIomlpG= (QOS workshop by Janis Megis) I am unable to experience what is being described at 68:50-> 69:00. If I understand correctly, Janis is explaining tha...

Re: Engenius 9605H Drivers and Tx Pwr

So, after replacing the Engenius 9605H card with a Mikrotik R52hn, and keeping all other components the same, I have good signal strength. Has anyone else tried the 9605H in a Routerboard with success? Without currently having another device to test the card, I am wondering if it is defective or if ...

Re: Engenius 9605H Drivers and Tx Pwr

I was observing what is being reported on my laptop client, which seems to report S/N. What I am seeing at about 3ft would be roughly -90 dB. What I am seeing from a Linksys WRT54GL router 12 ft away is being reported as 55db = ~ -58db. In other words, the power output is very small compared to what...

Engenius 9605H Drivers and Tx Pwr

Hello, I've recently purchased a couple Engenius EMP-9605H cards and am having issues with power output. Tested in RB192 and RB493 with ROS 5.14. I have tried multiple configs, default power, card rates, etc, nothing seems to bring the output up to anything usable. I don't have an accurate way of me...

Redundant Links....

Today I had an interesting problem, We have a remote mountaintop repeater, in the best of weather 1.5 hours of 4x4 trail, but there is still snow this time of year. Yesterday the link dropped, no radio connection at all. Fortunately we have a backup link with separate RB and antenna at a convenient ...

Re: Using wildcards in Access-List

Unfortunately it doesn't look like this feature is supported although it was discussed years ago on this forum here . I too would very much appreciate this feature and don't see why it would be so difficult to implement. My wireless network is fairly open in the first place, the authentication is do...

Re: SOLVED Solar Power Solution for RB433

FYI before you get too excited about running the new routerboards on 24V you will find that they screwed up the voltage range that these boards will operate at. You will unfortunately find that at normal charge voltages for 24v battery system, the routerboard will shut down and stay off until the in...

Migrating Bridged to Routed network

I am currently running a wisp with a bridged network but with port isolation at the APs and at every branch in the network, resulting in minimal broadcast overhead. currently there are around 110 clients on the network, all with public IPs. At the NOC I have 4 APs, and 3 PtP wds bridges to other loc...

Feature Request - Standalone Winbox for Flashdrive

It sounds like there is some discussion about future plans for extending a web interface, but I am wondering how difficult it would be to just modify winbox to allow one to determine where the preferences, dll's and address list are saved so that they aren't saved in the \documents and settings\appl...

Re: User Manager + Hotspot: Error 404: Not Found

Are you telling me that I have to be logged in to the hotspot in order to create my account???
How would I be able to register and pay for service if I can't see the registration page?

Re: hotspot & user-manager work, but the usersite not working

Hello, This solution may work for some, I haven't had any luck yet, can only access the userman site from the WAN port. 2.9.48 It is starting to get quite frustrating because I would like to allow users to subscribe, but can only get "error 404: not found" messages. Am I missing something basic? how...

Re: RC11 Bugs, broken WDS

The problem with the wds links was in part because apparently the upgrade changed the mac that was being reported. Had it setup with static wds which works ok now.
Still seem to be having troubles with wds linking to some non-mikrotik gear.

RC11 Bugs, broken WDS

Just upgraded two rb333 with ubnt SR9s from RC9 to RC11 and it broke my wds link. Both are in ap-bridge mode with Virtual-aps running the wds link. When looking at the interfaces in winbox, the link is reported to be good, and everything looks like it's supposed to , but no traffic will pass, neithe...
