Re: Force users to swap to 5Ghz

Thank you, is there also a way to do it on a cap through the capsman of the routerboard?

Force users to swap to 5Ghz

Hey,

Probably a noob question, but is there a way to force the wireless users near the access point to swap from 2.4GHz to 5GHz?

Thanks in advance

Re: Rb2011UiAS-2HnD FTTH configuration

Thank you! I succeeded in configuring the router. I would like to have a little explanation about the difference between out-interface-list and out-interface. There's no big difference, out-interface-list allows you to refer to multiple interfaces and it's not necessary that all of them make sense ...

Re: Rb2011UiAS-2HnD FTTH configuration

Traceroute prooves that router has working internet connectivity. A few things to change: from this moment, don't use quickset anymore. Change things directly in appropriate winbox sections. router's LAN IP address should be defined on bridge "interface", not on ether2... before changing ...

Re: Rb2011UiAS-2HnD FTTH configuration

From the screenshot I gather that the PPPoE is up and tunning. To proceed we need more information, which are hard to get from screenshots. So please proceed by exporting current configuration in text form: open terminal window run command /export hide-sensitive file=config20190323.rsc fetch the ou...

Re: Rb2011UiAS-2HnD FTTH configuration

According to ISP's guide you should be running PPPoE client on top of vlan1 interface. No DHCP client needed there ... And the vlan1 interface should be using VLAN ID 1036. To keep your router safe, add dynamically created pppoe interface (by default, its name is pppoe-out1) to the interface list n...

Rb2011UiAS-2HnD FTTH configuration

Best wireless solution for this case

Hello MikroTik community, I recently transferred to my new home and i was thinking about a home wireless system that could transmit both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz at least of 300Mbit/s. https://i.imgur.com/1qrDgKn.png I have to cover my entire house and, if possible, the area around. The black circles are t...

Noob question, linking switches

Hello mikrotik community, I just bought a new mikrotik ethernet router (RB2011UiAS-IN). I am wondering if there is a way to "link" the 5 ether 10/100 ports with the 5 ether 10/100/1000 ports. My idea was to have a wan entering from ether1 and then having ether from 2 to 10 slaving on ether...
