Re: Help with script to check if address is within routing table

You have /32 IP or a block like one /20, /22 etc. and you whant know what users are online??? /32 on BGP are not allowed, the minimal is one /24, I do not think you receive by BGP /32..... Hi Splynx database holds addresses as individual addresses as opposed to their CIDR range and that makes expor...

Help with script to check if address is within routing table

Hi Hoping someone much more clever than me can help me here. Basically we have a database of client IP addresses which is a list of /32 addresses and we have clients which have /30s /28s etc. What I want to do is export that long list of /32's and see if they are in use in the network by using a scr...

SNMP walker corrupts OIDs when used to create data set

Hi According to MT Wiki I should be able to right click the OID in SNMP-WALKER and add that data set, but it removes the "1" at the beginning: Taken from MT Wiki: Untitled.png So I right click then choose "Create Data Source" but it never returns a value because it has removed &q...

Re: 7.2.3 and IPv6 and SFP modules issues

Now it makes sense thank you Its strange to me because in previous releases this has never been an issue, I had only 1 default route from the DHCPv6 client and never got a default route from the PPPoE client and certainly never had a route marked "v" for VPN The only reason I set install d...

Re: 7.2.3 and IPv6 and SFP modules issues

Ok
I disabled it and I have no default route so traffic now no longer flows

I don't understand why you keep shouting disable dhcpv6 default route. Once it is removed by disabling it obviously there is no route to any address outside the local range of the router.

Re: 7.2.3 and IPv6 and SFP modules issues

Hi

It appears this additional default route reappears whenever my PPPoE connection is established leaving me with 2 default routes same distance but only difference being the 2nd one marked with v for vpn.. again I removed it and now my IPv6 traffic flows.

Thanks

7.2.3 and IPv6 and SFP modules issues

Hi I just upgraded my rb4011 to 7.2.3 and lost my IPv6 gateway :( I looked into it and there was magically 2x default routes, both identical apart from was DAd+ and the other DAv+ Any ideas where the DAv+ has come from? It says v for vpn but that makes no sense Now I have removed the default route w...

Re: Zen Internet IPv6 example?

Hi Firstly you need to speak with Zen and ask for an IPv6 address Since Zen uses PPPoE you will need to enable IPv6 in your PPPoE profile You need to create a pool from the delegated /48 prefix for /64 addresses Then you need to setup your Network Discovery so other devices may get stateless address...

Re: SSL handshake error using PayPal starting 10th September

Hi It turns out that the you can only update the root certificates by upgrading the router which has its own certificate store which is not visible to the users of winbox This has been confirmed by mikrotik this morning so the only option is to update the router and user manager packages to the beta...

Mikrotik The Hack Continues following Winbox attack STP attack?

Hi So we have around 1000 routers in our network and we were hacked around a week ago due to the winbox password flaw We found the source addresses of some of the attackers and bot nets so we blocked those A few customers were off line for the last ROS upgrade and unfortunately they got hacked I hav...
