What i need is to ping another remote mikrotik device by using the DDNS address that mikrotik provides. If the remote host goes down then an email is sent. Also reseting connection tracking values seems to make things more stable with UDP traffic according to this blog post: https://www.daryllswer.com/edge-router- ... -for-isps/

Don't disable connection tracking on your main router though like the blog says.

One other change i make on my home router is to set the DHCP lease time for 1 day. I also update the "Group key update" under wifi security profile for 1 hour.
Of course all APs are set to different non-overlaping channels such as 1,6,11 on 2.4 GHz wifi.

Couple of things more.

The bridge i created uses protocol mode RSTP on the AP's (192.168.88.2, 192.168.88.3 and 192.168.88.6).

Also the bridge has the same mac address as ETH1 where the outward bound connection comes in.

Also one thing i noticed, maybe it's ok maybe not but when i look at the SXT-LTE neighbours list i see 2 mac addresses from 1 device.
Although on that AP on eth1 and wlan1 i have ARP disabled.

Re: Random connection dropping vol2

Watch LTE parameters - LteLogger should show you a change between BTS Band/Cell and many that behavior like * after reboot pings are ok * when I wait ... then can fix itself * I move device position and it's fix can be logged to what cell id you are connect and when all works properly you can do: *...

This problems are very short in time loke 1-2sek or longer like 30s? 20-30s If you can "do/recreate a problem" then this will be perfect. If not then only checking logs will be good. Right now i have not been able to recreate that problem Setup the netwatch script at every ros device to c...

Hello! I have a home network built on MikroTik product: router hAPac2 and two switches CSS106-1G-4P-1S and CSS106-5G-1S. All three devices are connected in a chain Internet <-> hAPac2 <-> CSS106-1G-4P-1S <-> CSS106-5G-1S The switch CSS106-5G-1S software update to ver.2.11 passed without problems. B...

Limited channels for certain countries - Solved!

Noticed for 2.4GHz network for hap ac lite for some countries only 1-9 channels could be selected. I think that is wrong, for example in estonia 1-13 channels are allowed and i think that goes for the rest of the EU as well. Why the restriction?

Re: Random connection dropping [SOLVED]

Okay so the RSTP thing has probably did the trick. No more connection dropping. Also disabled 5Ghz wifi network cause the outside link speed is around 50/20 so there is no need for 5Ghz speeds 2.4 will do just fine. Due to the fact that 2.4Ghz has better range i removed one of the three AP's from on...

Re: Terminal / ssh / telnet support for SwOS ?

The client device should request an IP from the DHCP Server... if there is already a lease for a specific client then in order to get a new different IP the client must release the one it has and then renew to a new one... Your DHCP server has nothing to do with that... The proccess is ( How DHCP S...

I do not use swOS... really there is no telnet under tools? What do you mean you have to reboot to get a new address from DHCP server? As i understand you cannot telnet into the swOS. How do you push a new DHCP request to the dhcp server without reboot? There is no button for it and no CLI to push ...

Re: Random connection dropping [SOLVED]

The LTE issue has been fixed. Contacted the ISP and problem was communication. I was described a unlimited package but that unlimited only meant data not transfer speeds. So the speed cap is from ISP side. Had it upgraded to 50/20 because they don't offer 100/100, it's only 50/20 or unlimited which ...

Terminal / ssh / telnet support for SwOS ?

Is there any support for it if not is it in the works or coming anytime soon?

Right now RB260GSP only has webGUI support which is limited.

For example if i want to get a new ip address from DHCP server i have to reboot the whole switch and thus rebooting all connected PoE devices.
