Re: Gmail SMTP authentication doesn't work anymore, oauth needed

I just received mail that app passwords are going away too, and we need to switch to OAuth by the end of the year. Does RouterOS support OAuth now?

We tried asking ChatGPT about debugging Mikrotik scripts, and his response was: "Use the script editor in the Mikrotik RouterOS web interface to write and edit your scripts. This editor includes syntax highlighting and error checking features, which can help you catch mistakes and make your scr...

Re: WinBox check for device after disconnect

You really impatient :) , wait 2 min and retry...
It depends that action i did, maybe sometimes it will take like 15 minutes for it to get back.

Bonus point if they implement "beep" sound when device comes back online, so you dont have to babysit the WinBox window :)

Hello, would it be possible to add the following feature into next release of WinBox: When you get disconnected from the Mikrotik device for any reason (for example after initiating Reboot), have the WinBox test the connection to the device every second, so as soon as the device comes back online, w...

Hello, i put CRS354-48G-4S+2Q+RM into classroom and had complaints about it being too loud. It was running long-term version of RouterOS and its fans were spinning at 8k RPM. I made following adjustments: Upgraded RouterOS from long-term to stable & updated Firmware to match Reduced CPU clock fr...

Board Temperature OID on CRS328

Hello, is there a way to read Board Temperature on CRS328 through SNMP?
1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.3.10.0 should be OID for board temp but it looks like it isn't implemented on that model.

Defining standardized home AP for all our customers [WISP]

Hello, we have decided to standardize all home APs that our WISP customers use. We are stil evaluating options between everything listed here https://mikrotik.com/products/group/wireless-for-home-and-office but are leaning towards hAP (RB951Ui-2nD) as base model and cAP ac (RBcAPGi-5acD2nD) as advan...

Re: Traffic Flow changes in 6.29

I was analyzing info that comes from Mikrotik to Netflow server with Wireshark, and as far as I can tell, NATed addresses come from Mikrotik, so it's not setting on Netflow server that is causing this, it's Mikrotik's different behaviour. Maybe if there would be an option in Netflow settings to make...

Traffic Flow changes in 6.29

Hello all, I have a problem with TrafficFlow changes that got implemented in 6.29 (I think). I have the following network scheme: http://i.imgur.com/vw0j3AM.png I have 2 NATs happening: One masquerades network 10.0.0.0/8 as 192.168.0.2 (on Mikrotik router), and another masquerades network 192.168.0....

CRS series limitations

Hello, i was wandering is there is any limitation to CRS series when compared to "pure" routers like CCR and RB2011 (other then performance dictated by their CPU)? Basically, can CRS run all facilities like OSPF, Queues, Firewall rules, NAT, Mangle, IPSEC, DHCP, PPTP etc... that you expect...

Re: Dyndns.org script, now to remove all log info ?

... Are you talking about a double-nat situation? If that's the case, knowing your outside address won't get you very far unless you control that router too, in which case, you can just read the IP from the interface. Thank you very much for answering my questions, troy. About the last question, I ...

Re: Dyndns.org script, now to remove all log info ?

Re: how to change Mac Address

Maybe this? Should have looked first =(

/interface ethernet reset-mac-address

or reset-mac (depends where you read)

http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Interface/Ethernet
is there a similar method that doesn't involve reseting whole RB configuration, but for wireless interfaces?
