Re: LHG5 Point to point setup Level 3 license

https://i.mt.lv/cdn/product_files/LHG-seriesqg_190758.pdf Says: The LHG is an outdoor wireless router with a built-in directional antenna. It can be used as a CPE or for point to point links (use RouterOS wireless mode “bridge” to work as a single-client AP for point to point scenarios). Still looki...

Re: 31 subnet - Not finding an answer to default gateway.

I think /31 might be supported for cisco devices. Anyways considering your example " ISP of x.x.x.31/31 with a gateway of x.x.x.30" -i would try extending the subnet for those two ips to fit inside (and not to fall in broadcast one) to /26 -> 255.255.255.192 -assign the router the ip x.x.x...

Re: Bridge port received packet with own address as source, probably loop

as pe1chl said, check all your interface's mac address specially (i guess) the bridge mac address because it can be the same of one of the ports on the same equipment and it seems it makes it to work worse regarding that. on the other half, check if you have a slow link or a WDS one, i had the same ...

Re: Is wap lora 9 kit exoected to cover about 1.5 km with internal antena?

Internal antenna 2,5dBi can be used for setups where the distance to the gateway are closer than 1km. I recommend to use an external antenna, the “LoRa Antenna kit” - can be obtained separately. Antenna kit has pole mount and cable ready to use with LoRa cards. https://mikrotik.com/product/lora_ant...

I have already ordered an "antenna kit" to Mexico, the provider said it has a delivery time of 13 weeks, so lets wait to see what happens :)

Is wap lora 9 kit exoected to cover about 1.5 km with internal antena?

Hello, does anyone know if wap 9 lora kit is expected to cover about 1.5 km with internal antena? For, lets say an iot proyect?

Should be with full LoS? Because for example for GPS tracking it might be very poor LoS

Im looking for a simple meaning of that message, if is related to a general stop or just something temporarly that was not done on that moment anyway if you want to change radius packets from UDP to TCP it seems not possible by design however you can tunnel then trough a tcp vpn and then you have so...

Re: mikrotik scp/sftp client to transfer file between MT

I dont know how to implement it in mikrotik but knowing a bit of ipsec i think you can establish some ipsec rules to "encript" your ftp ports (for example tcp 21, i dont remember if password data goes trough that one) between your routers Also you can paste your firewall rules from a third...

Re: receive sensitivity for metal 2

please explain for what you need this. With signals weaker then -90 you would not be able to transport anything serious 128kbps using a mobile device would be serious? so why basebox 2 has a receive sensitivity of -100 at 1mbps while metal 52 ac has a receive of -97 if weaker than -90 is useless? T...

Re: RB3011 cannot reach 500mb/s troughput

Hi, i have a setup where i cannot make RB3011's troughput go over 400mbps Something is keeping cpu1 always busy with IRQ calls, and the software workload is also not symmetrical between the cores, making the situation even worse. I have my WAN coming from the SFP port, and flowing into CPU-0, accor...

Folks, Am I right that Winbox (and The Dude server) do NOT sent the password in clear text even if they use plain mode? I tried to Wireshark the traffic and was able to recognize username only. Re: How to Bypass Hotspot Usage Counters for Specific Subnets

Re: Firewall chains - default policy action?

In my case with 6.43.2 dynamic rules from user profile (incoming and outcoming filter) router is placing the rules on the bottom, after the drop rule, so just by sight i think those dynamic rules were never going to hit because the preceding drop is global. Anyways in my case im testing the usage of...

Sames happen to my in hap lite SW version 6.42.6 under packages "download & install" or just "download" option no firewall rules for output, i guess is because i have a latency of about 600ms because of the type of internet conection i have, so it creates a round trip time of...

Hello, sorry for this maybe dumb question. I'm thinking in replacing a 15 dbi ombidirectional antena connected lets say to a mikrotik 52 ac (1 wireless channel) as an AP for mobile devices.
