Re: Setting up Avahi Reflector in Mikrotik [SOLVED]

Finally solved this! So from Mikrotik perspective, everything was set up properly. You might need IGMP proxy for some devices, but no need for PIM (some suggested that IGMP is not enough, even though every guide says it uses IGMP), just a simple IGMP-Proxy setup will do. I have switched from avahi ...

Just updated from ROS 7.1.3 to 7.1.5, and can confirm my routing table is now red, it seems my 2nd ISP isn't working on my CCR2116 post-update.

Hmm.

Hello, I use it as follows: 1 - I create an IPv6 -> DHCP-Client with the prefix option checked, the pool prefix length attribute will split the /60 into /64. https://contractti.com.br/download/ipv6.JPG 2 - Now in the vlan interface, you can add IP from pool. https://contractti.com.br/download/ipv6a...

Re: Virtual or pseudo ethernet interfaces possible?

No, you don't need default routes for other DHCPv6 clients. In fact, no DHCPv6 client should add route, it should come from RA, but if it works, you can keep it as you have it now (plus getting gateway from RA is currently broken in v7 anyway). Awesome, thank you again. Seriously you were the only ...

ROS doesn't support prefix-hint for ipv6 address yet, so it depends whether the assignment from comcast is dynamic, static or generally static (hardly changing). I don't see an issue with your vlan config on the router, but you could have an issue with your switch. Re: Idea for 2 routers and avoiding Double NAT while running srcnat on second router?

Yes you can remove the NAT from the 4011, but then you will have to create a route on your ISPs Modem-Router for the RB's 4011 Local Subnet...
That's a problem since I don't use a isp modem. I'm on fiber and bypassing att's shit via the dot.1x client.

Idea for 2 routers and avoiding Double NAT while running srcnat on second router?

I have a RB4011 and it works well on AT&T Fiber but I've started working from home and encountered some slow speeds on it that I put on my last thread, I am temporarily using my Ubiquiti ER4 and have a solid 940/942. After thinking it over and my employer assigning to work at home permanently, I...

Slowness for the first few seconds then fast on download

I noticed something odd since enabling fasttracking, while CPU usage has come down a lot, my internet speeds are slow 200-300mbps for like 3-4 seconds then it jumps/spikes to 800mbps. But upload instantly goes to 900mbps-942mbps on speedtest.net and same thing with Mikrotik's test servers through wi...

IPv6 on RB4011 via AT&T Fiber

I am pretty new to ipv6, I think I did it wrong. Basically I made a dhcp-client on my ether1, it pulls /64 prefix and address (pool prefix length 64) and creates general-pool6. If I tried pulling 60 it wouldn't work, but oddly it assigned me a 2600:1700 address on a /60. https://i.imgur.com/eJZgO9z....
