Re: Connect Two different Subnets

Well yeah, you can't directly reach the addresses of the hotspot clients and accesspoints from the management network due to the masquerade (and it will not work without masquerade as the management network has no route back for your subnets). You stated that you wanted the hotspot clients to reach ...

Re: VRRP-VLANs

You can have multiple VRRP instances within one L2 segment. In fact that is what the Load Sharing wiki shows you as well (they just put it all on ether1). If you need vlans (because, for example, you need to have a separate management network or something) just put this on the same VLAN. So: /interf...

Re: VRRP-VLANs

Why are you using two different vlans here with the same subnets? Both VLAN 4078 and VLAN 4077 are using the 192.168.1.x/24 network. I can imagine that this does strange things with routing. Could you explain a bit more what you are trying to do here? From a client perspective what would you like to...

Re: How to connect two network on microtik and route only specific URL/IP to that connection

Is this your complete export? Because it seems to me that you are missing most of your firewall (/ip firewall filter). Combined with having "allow-remote-requests" enabled on your DNS server you are now probably an Open DNS Resolver which means that people are using your router to DDOS oth...

Re: Connect Two different Subnets

So these are completely separate network? If so you are going to have to create a link (cable) between the management network and the RB1100. Add a dhcp client on the interface, configure src-nat masquerade and allow traffic from 172.21.0.0/16 to the server IP and back. Be very careful to not give t...

Re: ISP to Mikrotik Router RB4011 Bridging

...most ISP connections I know of, that use PPPOE require to use a seperate VLAN (i.e. German Telekom, VLAN-ID = 7) But not all. Log entries (connecting ... authenticated, connected, terminating ... disconnected) actually show that VLAN is (probably) not a problem since PPPoE client can talk to ISP...

Re: Looking for help in setting up IoT Hub [SOLVED]

Sounds good to me, yes I read the ref you posted and indeed, it looks like all is possible. What I am not sure of is on the MT router whether you need to tell it where the DCHP is located?? The MT router doesn't need to know where the DHCP server is, since it is the gateway. It has all the informat...

Re: Looking for help in setting up IoT Hub [SOLVED]

Hi NewStackLearner, So ether2 and ether3 are trunks and 4 and 5 are access. Those are not entirely configured correctly as anav pointed out. Have you managed to fix that yet? If you want your trunks to be just trunks you should change it to this: /interface bridge port add bridge=bridge comment=Trun...
