Re: SwOS version 2.16 released!

I attempted to update two CSS106-5G-1S switches from 2.13. The first took it without any issue, as expected. The second consistently dies after clicking the upgrade button and must be power cycled to "get it back". After it comes back up, and it takes several seconds to come back; it's ba...

Re: MikroTik CRS354 SwOS

Does anyone have a running MikroTik CRS354 running SwOS? I do. I am running CRS354-48G-4S+2Q+ (the non-POE version) with SwOS 2.13. Switching from RouterOS to SwOS doesn't give you any advantage. Except much faster boot-up time after power outage. In certain scenarios SwOS is much easier & fast...

Re: v7.1.3 CHR ping with routing-mark

The use of ping with a routing mark is not only for wan failover
Yes, and the workaround using vrf instead of routing-table is described in the first post + my additional workaround. This works with 7.2.

Re: v7.2 is released!

This CRS354-48G-4S+2Q+ feels a little cold (-274 degrees Celsius). Only a copper pigtail cable is present in one SFP+ port, which has no temperature to report. It is a Mellanox MCP2104-X01AB cable. /system/health> print Columns: NAME, VALUE, TYPE # NAME VALUE TYPE 0 temperature -274 C 1 cpu-temperat...

Re: v7.1.3 CHR ping with routing-mark

I believe I found a workaround. It seems to work, if you add
check-gateway=ping
or
check-gateway=arp
to the routes.

Re: v7.1.3 CHR ping with routing-mark

I have the same problem with RouterOS 7.2
Is this a bug? Is there a workaround? I had to downgrade to RouterOS 6.x because I can't find a working solution to replace the missing ping routing-table parameter.

renew = the same confirmed, the lease is not created or deleted, as expected nothing change, except "lifetime"
all exactly what is expected.
Good to know, thank you!

DHCP server lease-script is not called on renew

Hello, I am running RouterOS 6.48.3 on CCR1009 I have a DHCP server running with a lease script. From a Windows client cmd prompt, if I execute ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew the script is executed twice. First with $leaseBound set to 0, then with $leaseBound set to 1, as expected. All is well. H...

Do CRS-3xx switches honor packet priority?

Hi there, I have a question: Do CRS-3xx switches like the CRS-354 honor priority of VLAN in hardware? Like passing packets from VLAN with higher priority first, on an egress trunk/hybrid port? This would be quite important for QOS. Same question for DSCP (no VLAN). I haven't found anything in the do...

Re: v6.47.4 [stable] is released!

I cant install current frmwre to hAP lite "smips". You may try to install current "long-term" version first and then upgrade to this "stable". 6.46.7 is one of the smallest builds of RouterOS for smips, that should allow you to install larger build. Thank you, that wor...

Re: v6.47.4 [stable] is released!

When a device requests a lease from the DHCP server, then its hostname is changed and the device rebooted so the lease is requested again, the Hostname in the DHCP Leases list is not updated. Only when the lease is deleted in the DHCP Leases list and then re-requested by the device, the Hostname is...

I'd be careful with this one and Wireless Wire products.
*) w60g - improved rate selection in low traffic conditions;
is a 6.47 change and 6.47 has been terrible for 60g reliability
I can confirm this. I had to revert my Wireless Wire units back to 6.46.6

Re: SwOS version 2.12 released!

I am not able to upgrade a CSS106-5G-1S. it detects there is a new version but every time I "Download and Upgrade" it fails. I downloaded the upgrade and tried to manually upgrade and it failed too. After upgrade failure, the switch will not respond to its DHCP provided IP address until I...

What's new in 6.47.3 (2020-Sep-01 05:24): *) crs3xx - improved Ethernet port group traffic forwarding for CRS354 devices You shuld all update to latest version and check out if the issue still exists. This line is in the changelog since 6.48beta12, so it actually doesn't say much. And Normis talked...

Re: CRS354-48P-4S+2Q+ traffic problem on ports 1 to 8

From our observations, those people who had the same issue (as there are other, not related issues in this topic as well), and who wrote to support, their issue has been resolved in the latest RouterOS v6.48 beta version.
Which version is this? Is this mentioned in the changelog(s)?

You can say that this version has a killer feature. Open CAPsMAN, click on "Radio" tab and watch all your CAPs disconnect. Also keeping that tab open will not let any CAP connect back. "failed to connect, timeout". I am running 9 CAPs (18 radios) and cannot reproduce this. All C...

Re: MAC addresses of VLANS on same bridge [SOLVED]

I found a solution myself: I created additional bridges with different MAC addresses and added the VLANs of the existing main bridge as ports. Like this: /interface bridge port add bridge=dvb-bridge interface=vlan200_dvb pvid=200 add bridge=cable-bridge interface=vlan300_cable pvid=300 /interface br...

Re: v6.47 [stable] is released!

System Health on CRS354-48G-4S+2Q+ now shows a higher CPU temperature than before with 6.46.x.
It shows 89 C (was 79 C before).
CPU load is minimal (around 1-5%).
Fan Speed the same as before.
Wrong / different temperature measurement?

CPU load was shown low in Winbox (< 10%) I downgraded to 6.46.4 stable, and the CPU stayed hot. After a power cycle, the CPU temperature dropped to normal lev...

Re: RB260GS old vs new distinction

As far as I know the "old" version of the RB260GS was the RB250GS. I'm not aware of two RB260 versions. https://mikrotik.com/download suggests otherwise: version 1.17 for RB250GS download version 1.17 for RB260GS, RB260GSP download version 2.11 for new RB260GS(CSS106-5G-1S), new RB260GSP(...

Hello, on the product page https://mikrotik.com/product/crs354_48g_4splus2qplusrm I see "Operating System RouterOS" No SwOS. Is this true? RouterOS is nice... for routing. On a switch (Layer 2 use) it is quite painful to use IMHO. Is the web page wrong or isn't there SwOS for the crs354? I...
