Re: 2 untagged VLAN same interface

I need to reach two different subnet with different vlanID on same broadcast domain, I need to do that temporarily before to route the subnet. I've read on some cisco forum that someone has achived this solution. I wouldn't call that a solution, I would call it a misconfiguration. Isn't that what h...

Re: CSS106-1G-4P-1S PoE support

There are multiple types of power over ethernet. The CSS106 switches are "passive" and probably not compatible with your device. PoE+ type 1 15W seems to be an inconsistent spec. PoE (type 1) normally means 802.3af and can supply around 15.4W at the port, but only about 12.9W at the far end of the c...

Re: SwOS version 2.8 released!

*) CRS326 & CRS328 & CRS317: added strict VLAN mode; What is the difference between this new " strict " VLAN mode and the enabled mode, described in https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/SwOS/CSS326 ? I have only CSS106, but the documentation for it has the following: "strict - Same as enable, but also ch...

Re: CSS106 Address Aquisition fallback default ip

@eider Thanks. So we should plan on setting the ip address even if we use reserved addresses in our DHCP server. Case I am thinking about is building loss of power, where the SwOS will reboot much faster than the DHCP server. I still like to have the MAC addresses in the DHCP server reservation, if ...

CSS106 Address Aquisition fallback default ip

Do the CSS106 switches avoid duplicate IP address 192.168.88.1 when multiple "out of the box" switches are deployed on a network with no DHCP server? The documentation suggests that the v2.5+ default method "DHCP with fallback" will use the configured address if no response is received from DHCP ser...

Re: CSS106-5G-1S v2.8 bogus TX and RX unicast counter with bit 32 set.

I have sent a message to support@mikrotik.com just now. I will update this with ticket number when I get one. BTW, the only configuration change I made was to change the password. Everything else is "factory". The device is getting ip address from DHCP via edgerouter-x (SwOS v2.8 default action, DHC...

Re: CSS106-5G-1S v2.8 bogus TX and RX unicast counter with bit 32 set.

@eider Thanks for the info about getting the raw values. I generated around 8GB of traffic from the the Raspberry Pi 3 on port 5 to the Edgerouter-X on port 1 with iperf3. I think the bug is in the code in the embedded processor in the CSS106. It appears there are multiple 64 bit values being sent, ...

Re: CSS106-5G-1S v2.8 bogus TX and RX unicast counter with bit 32 set.

After running overnight while logged into the switch with web statistics page being displayed. The only significant traffic was the CSS106-5G-1S sending web updates. Both of these unicast counters increased by unreasonable amounts. Perhaps just the fact that the web page was being displayed has some...

Edit: This issue has been reported to support@mikrotik.com Auto assigned Ticket#2018091222007256 In the email I sent the subject was: "CSS106-5G-1S SwOS v2.8 TX and RX unicast counters not correct. tuph and ruph appear to be too high." Re: CSS106 & Uptime

Still missing on CSS106-5G-1S with SwOS 2.8 in the system tab. Hopefully they will add it. It is useful info. But it appears that it is available via snmp v2c in Timeticks pi@TestPi3:~ $ snmpwalk -Os -c public -v 2c 192.168.28.40 iso.3.6.1.2.1.1.1.0 = STRING: "CSS106-5G-1S SwOS v2.8" iso.3.6.1.2.1.1...
