Re: v7.15beta [testing] is released!

Regression to 7.14: - virtual AP Wifi interface that is a port on a bridge - Wifi clients connected to that AP will show up as connected to "unknwon bridge port" in DHCP/lease as well as ARP etc. This leads to firewall rules filter for instance in/out interface bridge ports, do not work an...

Hi, Had problems with firewall rules not working anymore on 7.15b6 (but problem might exist since previous releases). Digging into it, I noticed the rules don't work, as Wifi clients are reported on "unknown" bridge port in the IP/DHCP/"leases" table. Strangly some Wifi clients a...

Re: Dual-sim router/modem changing sim based on domains

The LTE modem can not be connected to two different mobile network operators at the same time.
So you can NOT use 2 SIMs simultaneous. You can use one or the other.

Re: Routing between 2 local networks [SOLVED]

According to your firewall nothing blocks any LAN communication. You should be able to do what you want (L3 communication between devices). Except if you have some hotspot isolation feature (which I am not familiar with). But as I said, your choice of IP is buggy. And you have no protection/seperati...

Re: Routing between 2 local networks [SOLVED]

I'm running 2 local networks on the same Router and I want to be able to access my PRTG server and my Access Points WebUI configured on the 1st network from the 2nd network. 1st Network= 40.40.0.0/21 2nd Network= 50.50.0.0/24 Your IP addresses are not for private networks!!! Re: New audience, no WAN address

If you are able to connect to Audience at least the Wifi does work. Well done! Better use webfig than iOS. in Webfig, use "quick set" and select "HOME AP". I would suggest you just reset the box again, and once connected afterwards you check if internet is working before doing an...

Re: LHG RBLHGR LTE R11e-LTE modem firmware upgrade issue

What speed could I expect from this modem? I am getting 20/10 M while the same SIM card is getting 150/50 inside iPhone. Yes this is what you can probably expect. Iphone is a multi 100$ device while Mtik is 100+/-. The LTE modem is not the same (CAT4 inside Mtik). But keep in mind, not providing an...

Tristance, glad you are back. Personally ROS and inbox are quit complex for first time user. One thing missing and nothing works and there are too many options/things to correct. I would do: Take an export of your current config as well as a backup (backup via GUI and export via: export file=mycurre...

Re: Redundant WAN, Prefer ether1 over wlan1

Oha...now I get it. have you tried to enable "add default route" on both DHCP clients, and in the advanced tab, you put for distance "2" on the WLAN one? if that does not work, create static routes and to put as GW the interface itself instead of the IP address into your route. T...

Re: Redundant WAN, Prefer ether1 over wlan1

PS: Which ROS are you on? Have you removed all the "bonding" you mentioned earlier? Without that it will not work! You must have two GW uplinks (one on ETH1 and one on WLAN). With two different GW IP? The routes also need to go to the GW IP address! 192.168.144.254 in your route might be t...

Export tour IP/route settings.
If you have DHCP client with add dynamic route it on ETH1 and you unplug the cable it should not be reachable.
Have you put anither fixed address on ETH1?

Re: Wireless isolation

My understanding of this option is, that it prevents "in bridge" communication. After that your router will still route L3 packets allowing clients to connect to each other. You firewall can prohibit this routing. For instance put a rule chain=forward in-interface=your-Wifi_interface out-i...

Bonding intended to connect two physical interfaces to the same other equipment and bond those links together. It is to create faster speeds over for example 1Gbps ethernet, by using two or more of them... It is kind of "one interface" afterwards. You can not use this on two outgoing (WAN)...

Guess what, your phone is certified and will use only those allowed in your country , same for most other clients. Example. if y...

1st of all an LTE CAT 6 (300Mbps) device will NEVER give you actually 300Mbps. This is the maximum throughput you can get if you get all your channels assigned. In reality you will be extremely lucky if you get something above 100Mbps. I have CAT6 outdoor mounted and get.... 35Mbps. I tried with man...

You can use:
  • tools/netwatch, works when connection gets lost (like PING)
  • tools/traffic monitor, works on connection condition/throughput
and then trigger a script (disable / enable) your interface.

Antenna gain should only be used for setting...antenna gain. Hence why it can't be set for most devices anymore. Use the transmission power to set transmission power (and make sure it is set 7dBi lower than 5GHZ radio). You should really change output power only in three cases: Your coverage goes w...

/interface wireless
set [ find default-name=wlan1 ] antennagain=0
Put it to 10dBm and play a bit around with it. But your total range (distance to connect to hapac2 in 2.4G) will decrease.
