Re: Usage GPON module SFP in Spain

Thanks Mett for sharing your experiance! Do you might know if the CarlitoxxPro SFP Module supports 2,5Gbps (HSGMII Mode) in any combination with any Mikrotik router or switch? As it is said Deutsche Telekom provisioning 1100 Mbits/s in the 1G plan, it might be worth a try push the line to it's limit...

Re: v6.47.1 [stable] is released!

torkue could you please send us a report to support@mikrotik.com or via https://help.mikrotik.com/servicedesk ? We'd be interested in the DNS captures as well. @Guntis, I've created an report (SUP-23619) and attached my DNS captures from that time. Hopefully that can help to analyze, if its caused ...

Re: v6.47.1 [stable] is released!

Is anyone else having issues with VoIP devices not working after upgrade? I have a Siemens gigaset A480IP DECT base station. It was working fine until upgrade from 6.46.6 to 6.47.1 when it just stopped working with a SIP registration error. I factory reset the Siemens just in case and gave it a cle...

Re: CRS317 routing speed with pppoe and L3 offloading

It's insane with ISPs that use PPPoE in such speeds. Customers will spend most of their CPU resources to encap/decap packets. It's just sad. Not sure that a CCR1009 will do it either. Maybe the RB4011 or new CCR2004 have the horsepower. Can you say AS3320 Deutsche Telekom ... :( Had to ditch my tru...

Re: CHR license monthly renewal? but i have paid license [SOLVED]

You don't have to do that manually, the CHR will regulary perform online checks of your license. As long as your CHR is connected to the internet and you keep the license attached to the system ID of that CHR inside your microtik.com account, all will happen automatically and you will never miss the...

Re: PCIe 10G SFP+ NIC for PC/workstation (not server)

I use 10G fibre modules from fs.com, I've tested modules with 'Mellanox' and 'Generic' coding, both types are working fine with my Mellanox cards :)

Re: PCIe 10G SFP+ NIC for PC/workstation (not server)

I'm also using Mellanox ConnectX-3 (and some older ConnectX-2) cards, they are working perfectly fine with no additional cooling in my PCs or Workstations.

Re: CHR on OpenVZ

I would suggest to look for a different VPS based on KVM. Even if we found a solution for mounting the image, the OpenVZ VPS won't be able to run a CHR. OpenVZ is a container style of virtualization which relies on the host node's kernel, while CHR needs its own kernel. To run a CHR a full virtualis...

Re: German T-Online with Entertain 2 and VoIP

For those who are still interessted. I've tried around the classic way with igmpproxy and it still seems to be working with the current Eternatin v2 / MangentaTV service plans. Unlike some of the tutorials /suggestions I've found around the internet, I'm not sure if the subnet 193.158.0.0/15 is real...

Re: CRS1xx/2xx igmp snooping config

I'm also interested in this topic and would gladly see some examples how to configure it on the CRS1xx/2xx series. The iptv service provides from my isp is using multicast streams, witch are working fine on the CRS3xx series with igmp snooping, but on the CRS125 in my network I'm struggling to corre...

Re: CHR on CloudCone VPS?

I'm not familiar with the tutorial on digital ocean or cloudcone as VPS provider, but I've successful installed some CHR instances on different providers. If you find a vps provider which is providing Mikrotik CHR as an OS option to install, it is the easiest way. If you prefer some other provider, ...

power CRS125-24G-1S-2HnD-IN with PoE-In?

Hello, recently I've tried to power some switches via a CRS112-8P, this is working fine for other CRS125 non-wifi models, a CRS326 and my mikrotik wifi APs. First, I suspected a cabling problem, but while testing I noticed that on my CRS125-24G-1S-2HnD-IN port1 is not marked in light blue with poe-i...

Re: CRS3xx - ridiculously slow LEDs

I suspect it is the "normal" behaviour of the used switch chip or something like that. When I first noticed this behaviour on my first CRS326, I also thought something is wrong with my network, as it seemed there is no real activity, where it should be quite active. Sometimes it is still a...

Hopefully the CRS309-1G-8S+PC will follow soon.

Re: German T-Online with Entertain 2 and VoIP

In mid November I will switch over to my new fiber line including Entertain2.
If there is a working solution for Entertain2 i would appreaciate it, if you can share it with us, otherwise I have to try it by myself to get it working.

Re: German T-Online with Entertain 2 and VoIP

Hi,

I would appreciate it, if you could share your configuration for the Entertain 2 IPTV part.
I'm currently considering Entertain 2, when upgrading to a FTTH line by Deutsche Telekom in the next couple of month, if it could be implemented in my currenty Mikrotik based network.
