Re: v6.44.1 [stable] is released!

We try 6.44.1 in CCR1009 and 1100AHx2. DHCP server fails giving IP to clients, apparently when relay is used. DHCP leases list fill completelly, all with mac-address field '00: 00: 00: 00: 00: 00 ', and then complains with a message like' ip pool is empty '. All IPs in pool are assigned to mac-addre...

Re: Feature request: radius accounting on login also for local users

Sure, but it's not what I want. First, imagine that I delete the local user, trust in radius and then I lose access to the network. I can not longer login with that user, so I need a local user anyway. But also, that way I have "local" users that do not generate an accounting request and others that...

Feature request: radius accounting on login also for local users

It would be good if the radius accounting also worked with local users, meaning that the login made with users configured in the router, generate an accounting request, similar to a remote registry. Currently, radius "login" works only for accounting if authentication is also performed, and authenti...

Problem in DHCP radius accounting

DHCP Radius account seems to work fine and is very useful, but it has a problem on 'stop' record, showing the field 'Acct-Session-Time' with value of zero instead of how many seconds the user has received lease for. Seems that implemented on 4.41!

Re: CLOUD CORE ROUTER

Which problems still remain in core routers using 6.1 rOS version? Which features are optimized to the multicore architecture and which ones uses only one CPU (speaking about processes or features that can eat completely one CPU, while the other CPUs still idle)? Reboot, login/winbox, CPU usage prob...

Re: PPPoE and DHCP relay

Thanks for answering AlexN. Your idea is good, but not what I need. What i need, is centrally manage dhcp in main router (the one that is on the top of them all), not individual dhcp servers in each router from bottom. I know it can be done without pppoe, but I need to do with pppoe and dhcp relay (...

Re: PPPoE and DHCP relay

You need dynamic addresses assigning via pppoe connection or you need that your users have addresses assigned via dhcp besides pppoe?

Re: PPPoE and DHCP relay

Need to create a DHCP server with a unique pool of IP address on the router and use DHCP relay on PPPoE servers to give IP to customers.

Is that possible?

In this way it works perfectly with ISC-DHCP: # modem host test_modem { hardware ethernet 00:50:c2:31:21:74; fixed-address 172.31.1.5;...
