deleting users after expiration

Hi everyone, I already posted this in the wireless forum, but i think this is only possible using a script; I made a simple hotspot configuration using the wiki installation on page http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/How_to_make_a_HotSpot_gateway I only have 1 type of user which expires at 1 day. I made several users (login codes) using: /ip hotspot user add name=94399701 limit-uptime=1d profile=&...

rb532 bad blocks

Hi,

After upgrading several rb532's in the field from 2.9.8 to 2.9.24 I see some bad blocks. Problem is you couldn't see the bad blocks in 2.9.8 in winbox so I didn't knew about it.

I worked with 2.9.8 with no strange problems on all boards.

Does anyone know if this is a big problem?

ok, let's invite everyone...

maybe we should search for a component with 3 sensors. 1 for connecting to the cooling block of the cpu, 1 for the temperature in the box and 1 box the humidity.

hope some others should read this... and mikrotik..

ok, bad luck. but...

if enough users overhere wants to implement this in winbox, why not choose 1 usb-sensor all, and then send 1 item to mikrotik and ask to implement this?

any one else interested? Let's make a list and then search for a nice product.

Hi, We made a mini-itx intel-based and passive cooled system. When you use routerboards you can read out the cpu/board temperature in winbox. I have not tested the rb112 yet, but did you try to test with 2 systems on both ends? Intel p4 like system -- rb112 -- rb112 -- Intel p4 like system The rb112 has less cpu power than the rb532 series. (175mhz instead of 333mhz), but I still think that the rb112 is more powerfull than a wrap board or...

these are the mac addresses from the connected bridge, not the first mac address that is connected to the bridge interface.

last ip is also the ip of the first machine that is connected to the bridge; not the ip of the bridge.

last ip , last mac?

in winbox, when you click on interfaces --> settings --> wireless tables and you choose a connection ,you can see the last ip (the ip what is used by the customer). is there also a way to see what mac-address this ip binded to?

maybe an option to include in next versions of winbox?

check if you are using the ip number of the wireless cel on the other side when you test, not the ip of the bridge or the ethernet-port.

No,

I do not use any authentication.

I just want to give the pc/router name on the client side a unique number. This number has to be recognized by a dhcp server, giving the right ip-stack automaticaly.

Assigning CPE IP's with names instead of MAC addresses

Hi There,

Does anyone know if there is a possibility in MT to assign ip numbers to a customer not by using the dhcp server in combination of his MAC-address, but just giving the customers pc or router a unique computername with corresponds with a central MT-server?

Thanks,
