Re: v6.49 [stable] is released!

The issue with unavailable devices after 2nd reboot has been reproduced and it seems to be related when upgrading from 6.41.4 (or older) RouterOS/RouterBOOT versions. Our apologies for the caused issues, the fix will be included in upcoming releases. So anyone using older than 6.42 RouterOS or Rout...

Re: v6.48.5 [long-term] is released!

hi, Do you have the ability to stop customers from upgrading the brick way? If not then withdrawing the release sounds a damn good idea as it is now over a month down the road. Unless you can instruct distributors to accept free returns/swaps of bricked hardware for swap for the duration? It is not ...

Re: v6.49 [stable] is released!

Well, in any case, and especially when equipment installed at customer locations is involved, you need to read the release topic of this forum before doing any upgrade. No matter if it is called stable, .0 releases have usually experienced major problems in the past, and careful users have waited f...

Re: v6.48.5 [long-term] is released!

They always read the forum, but for support problem, email then at support@mikrotik.com and you will get a ticket number and they will reply. Surprised? Nothing has really changed since when we first got an RB532 and RB112 with Ros 2 , except they now reserve being rude to you in private and ignore...

Re: v6.48.5 [long-term] is released!

I still think it is a bad policy to release a new version in the stable channel and declare it the long-term version at the same time. You should move versions to the long-term channel only after they have proven to be free of obvious issues in the stable channel for some time. (I know that long-te...

I recently pulled an RB750 out of storage to use temporarily. I updated the OS but not the firmware and it see...

hi, Don't post often but a HEADS up for Mikrotik here. We have had a collection of RB750 / RB951 based routers brick after upgrading to 6.49 Ros and Firmware. Very annoying VoIP affecting bug in latest 6.47.x Router OS

Re: PowerBOX Pro - 4 pair PoE IN

hi all,

well this is now 3 years old as a question, nobody has bothered to answer it from Mikrotik, the spec fails to mention if the unit supports 4 pair POE in which it should, so Netonix it has become.

sigh

Re: v6.47.1 [stable] is released!

hi, Why do they call this STABLE, it should be BETA at best. 6.47.1 on a Hap AC-lite and a 951-2hnd have both created a bridge problem where the router cannot be pinged or accessed from the same subnet via IP even when used as a basic bridged access point. It produces two "neighbour" entri...

Bonding active backup behaviour change - 6.47.x or earlier.

Hi, We have a problem in that something that did work fine now does not. So either something has broke or what we are doing was not officially supported. This relates to using Bonding and Active Backup to provide a resilient path over 5Ghz for 60GHz links of up to 1.7km. 60G is Mikrotik and 5G is Ub...

Re: PowerBox Pro POE overload

hi, you do not say how far away the power lead is from the battery and powerbox (length) or what the actual wire diameter it is. A cable that can "handle 2 amps" is not what you are looking for, what you need is a cable that does not droop under instantaneous high current spikes. The latte...

Re: v6.45.7 [stable] is released!

6.45.7 fixes the DNS exploit. It also seems to have created a port flapping problem on the CCR1036. What is of interest is that ALL the connected ethernet /SFP ports show the flap simultaneously with the time stamp of when it went "up". but does nto show the down timestamp or add any count...

Re: erm what is FW 6.55.6 , no mention of it here yet routers say it is current stable?

i right so there are no static entries in the dns setup for our core router. our "ISP" is level 3/centurylink and i find it difficult to consider their DNS servers are hacked To add to this this is occuring on every other core MT router on other connections with other DNS servers too. So i...

Re: erm what is FW 6.55.6 , no mention of it here yet routers say it is current stable?

the update server reports as 185.162.131.116 , in the netherlands.

something is broke as only the stable release exists and the version number is not real it seems.

perhaps somebody at MT needs to investigate this as it could be a nasty fake firmware attack

Re: PowerBOX Pro - 4 pair PoE IN

hi, An old thread but i was looking to find the same answer. The cost increase in parts is minimal to make POE IN on all 4 pairs, this would make things a lot better for customers who have hardware capable of feeding 4 pairs of power. Ideally a version of the passive injector that supports 4 pair wo...

Re: v6.44.3 [stable] is released!

hi, no mention of a recent routing bug we have experienced. Simple static routes stop working, to restore them you disable/re-enable them. Had this happen twice on two routers with 6.44.1 on them. One occurred after a power cycle, the other for no apparent reason at all. Has the dev team come across...

hi all Noticed this thread and have had a few 951's do exactly the same thing recently. the PoE just stops working, the RED LED goes out and nothing brings it back. the router otherwise is working fine. These have all been feeding ~3 watt loads and is proving costly. Perhaps we should dump MT wifi r...

6.44 beta39 ethernet speed - W60G

Hi, I thought i would upgrade to the latest beta from beta28 on a pair of LHG 60G links. the upgrade went through, however one end of the link the ethernet port now only syncs at 100 Mbps , in fact the 1000 mbps tick boxes had become unticked! Hi,

They appear to have removed this in the 6.44 beta :( , no sign of an mcs option ..

bah humbug

I was going to force a link to MCS 0 as it doesn't need the speed of higher rates and this way i am guessing it will be a lot more stable during fluctuations, birds flying past the aerial etc.
