Re: MacOS Catalina, iOS, Catalyst, SwiftUI & Wine

1) Thank you @Normis. This is a big help 2) For those having a tough time with Automator, there is an easier way. 1) follow the steps Normis outlined earlier in thread. 2) create a text file with the following commands, and name winbox.sh (replace directory with correct directory for your own system...

Re: spectral-scan: syntax & example

Your syntax in the CLI is wrong. When I try to run the example on this page (via the terminal) interface wireless spectral-scan number: wlan1 The number it is looking for is the interface number. If you only have one wlan card, it is most likely 0. So correct command would be: /interface/wireless sp...

Re: IP lease not the same on the Hotspot

It sounds like the Hotspot is 'masquerading' your real IP address to something else.

Go to IP/Hotspot/Hosts. There you should see a list of all MAC addresses, the IP address the client has, and the IP address that Hotspot is using to connect them online.

Re: DNS not passing through to third party router

Sounds like you may not have the RB2011 setup to handle DNS requests.

Go to IP/DNS, make sure there is a check mark for 'Allow Remote Requests'. Also, make sure there is at least one DNS server listed above ie. 8.8.8.8, etc.

Re: DNS cache (and hotspot)

There is a good Wiki entry on this. http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Force_users_to_use_specified_DNS_server In this example, it shows all traffic being forced to a specific DNS server. But if you want to have 2 or more DNS servers, just add your SRCNAT subnet to the firewall rule. Can also do this by ...

Looking for MT Tech in Utah

We are looking for a MT tech in Salt Lake City, UT. We are running job ads, but the IT people coming in are all Cisco, Juniper, etc. We'd prefer to work with MT folks, so thought we'd run a quick post and see if there is anyone out there in the community. We are not looking for a remote contractor, ...

Re: Multiple PPTP clients behind MT firewall

That's what i would expect, that the MT router would be able to do it much easier, so I'm sure it's something simple in my setup.

I confirmed that the PPTP is enabled under service ports, and yet I still have the same issue. Not able to connect two VPN clients. :(

Any other ideas?

Multiple PPTP clients behind MT firewall

I have a very basic setup, but am running into a small issue that I'm hoping has a simple solution. I replaced a consumer grade Netgear router in my home with a RB450 with version 3.0 installed. It is acting as a nat router and firewall behind my comcast cable connection. I've got basic Nat setup us...
